Anyone seen these on TV? I was watching CSI last night (Spike or TNT, I think) and they had two commercials for Scientology. Looked like ads for a pharm company, to me, in a way.

i didnt watch any of the commercials, but pharmie commercials creep me the fuck out. It even sounds like im getting brainwashed.

the tv really does have a strong influence over our lives, its pretty nuts.

Heh I remember in the 80s when the CO$ marketed the shit out of Dianetics on TV as a self help or pop psychology book and everyone and their mom went out and bought it or knew someone who had a copy of it but hadn't actually read the entire book.

Have you ever tried to read it?


Unless they're hiding the good shit deep in the chapters that I didn't get to, it's page after page of 'You can do it!' and 'Don't let the fuckers get you down' (okay I'm paraphrasing a bit) and all the other 'self help' bullshit of the 80's.

I got self help for ya...


Life is what you make it so shut the fuck up and get back to work. Maybe you'll win the lottery, maybe you'll get hit by a bus. More than likely you'll spend your life somewhere in the middle of those. Keep your damned eyes open and hopefully the only time you get fucked in the ass is when that's what you paid for.
