Where are we now?

Well hello, Yahooka. Another drunken thread from CT, what a surprise!

What I will say is that we've long since accepted the fact that we are encapsulating ourselves into our very (reasonably) comfortable situation with whoever is here.. but that means a standstill as far as progession within Yahooka goes.

No longer is Yahooka the safe haven for curious stoners who do not know what do do with their limited knowledge of all things ganja, now it is merely a refuge for those who discovered this gem before the internet truly exploded.

Now, there is simply so many instantaneous methods of retrieving knowledge regarding weed without having to go through the hassle of registering and whatnot... it's all right there whenever you want it. So where does that leave us?

The lost many. The people who fit in places but dont really fit in anywhere. We all have so much differing between us, but we all share that fundamental truth, I believe...

We fit in well enough, but there is nowhere that we fit in completely, and feel at home.

So, what edge does Yahooka have now? Where once we were the haven of lost stoners, now we are merely the refuge of lost souls.

What does Yahooka mean now? To you, to us, to everyone who reads this!

We've got this idea that YaHooka is supposed to have a cause behind it. Whether it's to spread the good word of herb, or for voices to gather behind legalization, or whatever, we seem to think it needs to be bigger than ourselves. But really, what group of friends that you've had, that you've hung with, ever needed to be more than just a group of friends?

You guys are the group of people that I hang with. It may be all electronical, but it's just a variation on an ages old thing: hanging with friends. And, in my humble one, I think we have a seriously bad ASS group of friends here. Sure, new people come and old people go, but the spirit of our friendship, and our time together, remains the same. We're irreverent, we eschew authority and conformity, we love lulz, and we are important parts of each others' lives.

So, let's stop lamenting the path of YaHooka, and start celebrating the fact that we have each other in our lives. I mean, take it back a few years, and you'd have to look for all these people in your day to day shit (work, school, etc.). Could you have found this mix to hang with? It would have taken me a century. YaHooka, slow or fast, hip or forsaken, is always going to be a miracle to me.

I love you guys.

I've 'walked' around the threads over at Grasscity now and again the end of last year, and it's just too huge. The thread pages change by the minute, and good threads get buried by.....well, it's not shit that would live long here.

And the 'Rep'...

You know what yahooka has for me? Here's a short list, because it's late for me right now...

'I wonder what Nun posted today. Hopefully some more Dog
Fort.'

'What hand grenade commentary is JFK posting in Politics?'

'Where's Zoltron's latest pics?' I just told him that the other day.

'How the fuck is SAJ gonna make me laugh, and is he actually going to 'get it' today?' BTW, SAJ, just getting mentioned in general by anyone should be a ring from the clue phone. So, pick it up please.

Has Rev once again managed to weave a reply into a thread along the lines of 'well at least you didn't have to lick an old man's balls'? Somehow there is a bit of wisdom that springs from those posts.

I worry sometimes about somebody posting from Rubix' account...and letting us know that maybe he had too much fun. Not judging, Rubix. You just play really hard, man.

And Geeno.....do I need to say more then that?

Bearsy. 'I found her' That's going to be a great thread when you finally post it.

I wish that we were all collectively involved more in something like the music project 'in Bb flat' that Scatter posted. I know there are some other guitar players here, but the threads don't seem to have a lot of life...because?

If numbers are involved Capt. Cann na na na bissssssss, will not be far behind.

'Post a picture that you took' <~~~~~~~Great thread.

We are small town Maryjanesville, where most of us know the rest of us. Some of us don't come around to play anymore, but they know how to get back to the neighborhood if they wish.

in Bb 2.0 - a collaborative music/spoken word project

Plus, it could be called The Yahookastra.

A minor for the key?

I can do a line of chorused/flanged volume swells with a guitar.

Maybe a one with a tremolo patch I have on my amp, too.
