Exclamation Gnarly Blood and Gore shots

So, I have some pictures for yall to see. if you have a weak stomach or don't handle the sight of real blood very well, heres your warning.

Okay...

The basic story goes as such: I was "playing around" with one o my knives (aka whittling at a piece of wood) and slipped. I essentially filleted my thumb from the beginning of the first joint to the base, across the top surface. According to the doctor that sewed it up, I narrowly missed cutting into a tendon and barely avoided nicking a vein. For my troubles and for any pain I got a script of Vicodin. All in all, it could have been worse.

Told you it was a gnarly bloody mess didn't I?

ouch man, that's a pretty wicked cut! i know your pain, so very very much. my career right now, not really by choice is that of a meat cutter. i've worked at several different grocery chains because well frankly the money is good, damn good. its a dying profession. anywaysss during my first year of cutting i sliced two different fingers on the same hand, on various occasions. my thumb and indext finger on my right hand both have scars, and my thumb is still number is various places. good luck with the healing, keep the vic's handy, keep it wrapped and have fun trying to do anything that you like to do, lol.

thats nasty, real nasty. next time put a bunch of white space after you warning i you want it to be effective.

like this.

random anecdote: one time i was tripping acid with a few good friends at my buddy's house. we thought we heard someone breaking in so people grab bats, pule cues, whatever. i pull out my razor sharp folder i used to carry, point one way with my right hand towards the noise, then point the other direction with the hand holding the knife, putting a huge bloody gash across my knuckles.
odd part is i didn;t freak out, the pain barely registered. my only action was to wrap it up in paper towels and hide it so my friends wouldnt see blood and "bad trip"

ah weapons and drugs...both fun but probably best separate.

Yeah, I edited it to be more warning-friendly. This is one of the worse cuts I've had, but my fingers have all sorts of little nicks an scars.

Ayatollah, are you a butcher, is that what your saying? A dying art indeed sir, I personally have never seen one. It would go to reason you would have a good amount of cuts and the like. Hope you don't ever get caught inna deli slicer!

i guess you could say im a butcher, a poor's man butcher maybe. i can cut the hell out of some meat but i can't breakdown say a whole cow, lol. i worked at krogers and they put me in the meat dept. and it just took off from there. now im at a smaller chain, harris teeter. been doin it for about 6 yrs now. dude deli slicers are nasty, i like em though, very easy to operate. now a days tho, they are making anyone that uses a knife, they must wear a protective glove on the opposite hand their cutting with.

Doctor says the stitches may be able to come out in about 10 days. Not too long a recovery period.

AH!!! I can see the jelly inside that finger Uber

This seems like an appropriate thread to mention that I used to do bio-med waste and clean operating rooms in a hospital for a year. I'll spare some graphic stories but will tell this one instead.....

In the midst of that time I was dating my Wife and one night she jumped out of bed and was sick, none of it hit the floor because I caught it all in my hand.

That's right, I stepped around her and anticipated that she was about to be sick, while in near darkness. There was a can nearby and I just dumped it into that. Now worries, that is what soap and water is all about!

Kinda of surprised myself with that one really.

My Wife was telling this story to her Mom the next day and Momz said 'Keeper' .... and that has totally been a badge of honour with the Momz in law

When My Wife is talking about cleaning something up Momz in law totally brings up that time I cleaned up for her daughter!!! Niiiiice

My Mom worked in a hospital while I was growing up and my 'decency' level is a bit askew, I apologize if that was a bit much ......sorta
