OK WTF is going on in here!

Alright so check this out. FFA seems to have this crazy cohesion where everything follows the same path! Don't believe me? Check this out!

Hows this for strangeness:

Almost every thread in FFA Has exactly one more view than reply! What is this? Is it really just one phantom viewer out there who never replies and every other single viewer does? Is it the fact that the OP counts as a viewer but does not ever reply? Is it a software malfunction? Or are we all somehow connected here in the FFA and the natural flow of things is a strong current here...

im guessing its because FFA is open only to members, so people go to check on the thread and dont reply and then it never gets bumped and goes to the bottom

it happens when the view counter is broken. when you create the thread it counts it as a view, so when ever someone comments, it counts that as another view.

The view counter is not broken, it was deliberately turned off to reduce server load.

Now that we aren't flooded with members maybe it's worth turning it back on.

Yes, and if you looked back you'd see i said the same thing in those threads.

It's not just about bandwidth, it's processing. It's doing view calculations for each user signing in. So it has to calculate views for every member [including guests] which gets constantly changed to to different people viewing different things at the same and/or different times.

Right now Yahooka is running in testclear's [the user] basement. Once it gets migrated to a data center I was def planning on popping those little bits back into place.
