You should have known hanging out with the #Krew doesn't equate to college level discourse and that you won't get credit for it...

Online classes in general are BS.

depends on the subject and the student.

I prefer programmed text's.

And "online" is most likely the future of education, considering the expense and scope of a "formal" education...government can't handle it.(and probably shouldn't)

Puttin the 20% of unemployed workers back to work in America should be Obama's primary goal, then at least those students coming out of school with these big expensive educations won't need to sign up for welfare upon graduation.

kind of funny considering that 'BS' is an actual designation in academia

most of the time, you have people responding to your posts with "Yes, I agree blah blah blah" and we're suppose to have a minimum number of posts per chapter.

And yet I still have to pay more for online, even tho I attend classes at the bricks and mortar school still already. One of my instructors, whom I've known for three years, moved to TN two years ago and does his work from there so we gotta email him or skype to get ahold of him. Although it's not THAT bad, I'd prefer to be dragged into a classroom and forced to be lectured on a mainstream basis. There is no motivation to give a shit (let alone TWO shits), about online classes.

but HEY, at least im not getting sucked into university of phoenix or some outrageously expensive private school which thrives off its enormous marketing power. MN state colleges and universities use a program called D2L (desire to learn), and so now a student must pay an IT fee to take a class which might use the software for a quiz or a group discussion.

^I totally agree, but I've found that online or "hybrid"s (one class day a week for quizzes or whatever, and the rest online) are a good compromise when you have a heavy course load, and still have a bs course you need to get out of the way. Way back when I took all my english comps as hybrids, and whatever computer classes I had to take..., and I think nutrition. Oh and one of my many psych classes. -It really is convenient, imo. Luckily I've never had post requirements on those stupid fucking discussion boards, profs have been really understanding about not using that, so that's been a blessing fo sho

i never had to do the discussions online, but i wasforced to do discussions in person on topics like gun control and abortion. i happen to be really liberal on those issues so naturally the debates were always heated

fuck group work in general. its not like theres going to be a group of names on my diploma when im done, let me earn my points

truth, thats what i was trying to say, i see you are fluent in mafoo

i once had to do a group project by myself and it stressed me out so bad. then on the day of the presentation the other group members showed up and expected me to let them present with me, i went apeshit and had to be restrained by one of my classmates.
