Do you drive?

Just wondering how many Yahookans either can't afford to or choose not to own and or drive a vehicle on the regular. I deliver pizza and live in the suburbs so it's a must. I wish i could just rely on consistent public transportation but I cannot.

I sold my car in Sept '06. When we moved to Van I was using it like 4 times in 4 months. Seemed like a waste of money.

Been a transit rider since.

When we travel we use bus/train/plane.... and sometimes we DO rent a car.

That's one thing... I've kept my license current.

i shed a tear yesterday watching my old kcar get towed away
i mean i shouldnt have because it got me in lotsa trouble
cost me lotsa money
always needed a new something
it was beyond dead
like complete power failure dead
but still seeing it and walking by it in the yard every day made me feel good
and watching my kid go to school hopping over the car every morning felt good too

and when the power would go out me and the boy would jump in the car with pug pug and watch movies on the laptop

oh well.
at least it went to a good cause.
it's going to get burned by the fire department here for a training drill.

Being that it is 15 degrees outside, i've been driving lately. However, once we're back up in the 40s or so I just bike unless I'm leaving town.

i still only have my learners permit and im 25. having a car would obviously be convenient but its so fucking expensive (insurance, gas, repairs) and not really worth it for me right now at all.

walking and biking FTW!

I live about 3 miles from town and the only public transportation is the T so I really don't have a choice. I wouldn't need my truck to get to work if it was absolutely necessary but there would be no way for me to get to school.

I don't have full coverage because my Jeep is 20 years old. I do have comprehensive because it was only another $60/year.

I do drive, very well in fact, but currently do not have car or license.

also where I currently live, there are ticket "cleaning zones" one entire side of the front street, alternate sides (on alternate days yet).

people get ticketed a whole bunch.

(oddly enough the street doesn't get cleaned that often...needs it now)

and it's the only place within city blocks to park for many.
