can i sue these mother fuckers?

can i sue an independent homehardware lumberyard that refused to exchange
my coffee grinder because theyve ASSUMED that i used it for grinding weed

i have long dreads and a beard and know this is just fucking them being fucking picky and prejudiced

they have no way to know i grinded marijuana in there

she smelt it just barely and not even her nose touching it and already automatically assumed yep its pot

and whatever i fucking grinded in there i have the box and receipt that says for exact one year warranty no matter what
and now theyre refusing me to replace my product

and im wackjo or are they right

im probably completely in the wrong

but what the fuck am i right or am i right?

There is no law that says a retailer must take any merchandise in return, used or not.

You can't sue someone for being an asshole.

Buyer Beware.

so you used it to ground weed, it broke then you're complaining when they wont take it back because it was used for something other than its intended purpose?

Most coffee grinders (at least the quality ones) are marketed as 'Coffee/Herb/Spice' grinders.

Let the lady know that...

A) Marijuana is indeed classified as an herb.

And,

B) Who the fuck does she think she is deciding that even if you did grind pot in it, that is a reason to deny the return of defective merchandise and that as a store employee the higher ups may not take kindly to getting a nasty letter from a customer about their minimum wage staffers deciding how moral you need to be to spend your money in their establishment and I'm dead sure her immediate supervisor would rather not get an earful of your attitude right in front of her because indeed shit rolls down hill and she is at the bottom of the hill with her $7.50hr. mouth open wide.

wait, so you got rejected trying to return a coffee grinder because it was suspected to have been used for weed, which is, in fact true; and now you are upset because they caught you even though you thought you were inscrutable in apperance and totally not suspicious, despite looking like a total pothead complete with dreads and a beard?

This, at least here in California, is simply not true...

Quote:
According to the California Department of Consumer Affairs website, California Civil Codes 1791.1(a) and (c), 1792, 1792.3, and 1793.2(d) shield consumers from being stuck with defective merchandise. The codes ensure that any merchandise that is being used for personal, household or family use carries a warranty by law. The implied warranty is good for at least 60 days, unless there is a written warranty that comes with the item for up to one year. If you purchased a product that is defective, and it has a written warranty, then you have the right to have the item repaired. If the item can't be fixed, you have the right to an exchange or refund. If the item is too large to return, and it came with a written warranty, then the business has to either pay shipping costs or send someone to your home to repair the product
Not so sure about up in the Great White North but I imagine it's pretty much the same in all the states.

Unless he was grinding something harder than coffee beans, it doesn't matter what he was using it for!

And coffee beans are pretty fucking hard.

And coffee beans are pretty fucking hard.
you just pulled that out of your ass, there's plenty of things softer than coffee beans that will void your warranty. put a chunk of shit in there or a piece of meat or some radioactive waste and grind it up and then go try to return it. softer than coffee beans, right?

even though they advertise "1 year warranty guaranteed" or whatever, i bet theres pages upon pages of fine print with specific warranty conditions that must be met before you can return something. you always have to read the fine print.
