most everyone has that potential, depends on the situation.

OJ was fine till his career in football ended, then fucking up on a regular basis became the norm. This doesn't just happen with athletes, but , most pro athletes really have no back up plan for when they retire/or are retired due to injury.

No longer a pro athlete in the lime light , with those big pro dollars coming in...and trying to maintain the same lifestyle/status is what probably drove him nuts.
I say nuts, because I think he had choices that could have been made < murder.

lol, classic. i actually think its pretty funny when people sell their awards

i remember watching sportscenter, two of the guys were ripping on some college athlete for selling his trophies. then the old guy goes "i don't see the big deal, its his award after all. i mean, when we were in college we used to steal the towels and stuff to sell them to the frat brothers"
the other guys were all like "oh thats aweful how could you say that" and quickly changed the subject. i was fucking dying.

When I was in the police academy, we had this simulated criminal encounter that we did, where the instructors (cops from local departments) played the criminal. Well, I tell my guy to turn and place his hands against the wall, and when he does, he has a gun in his waistband in back. I draw on him and tell him to freeze, and he bolts.

We were using real guns, except the ammo was like paintballs. They were regular shell casings, but the actual slug was just full of dye (and I'm guessing that there's less powder, so they don't go as fast as real bullets).

Well, there are any number of things I could have done. Chased him down. Called for backup. Anything. However, the first thought that goes through my mind is, "Dangerous fleeing felon, armed, threat to the lives of others. I guess I can shoot him." So, I drew down on him as he ran away, and shot him in the back.

Looking back on this, I am kinda shocked at myself. The guy had a vest on, but it still hurt (he yelled, "OW!!" when I popped him), but I didn't think anything of it when I did it. I just stood there, took aim, and shot the guy because I knew I could, and would be within the law and my duty to do so, were it a real situation.

I believe, deep down, I have this sociopathic side to me that would have no problem killing another person. It's a good think I never got hired by a department.

I wish it were true. I wouldn't mind if he got butt fucked on a daily basis, unless he liked it, then he shouldn't get it.

Just an example of how if you have enough money you can get away with murder. Too bad for him, he spent most of his getting off on the murder charges and didn't have enough left to buy his way out of the armed robbery charges.
