did anyone think v for vendetta wasnt shiite?

this movie was quite possibily the most ridiculous escapade ive ever seen.

so i didnt watch it back when it came out- i figured it would be a liberal wet dream with the anarchy shit etc...

but i saw a preview with natalie portman etc... kinda looked like a modern take on 1984 so i figd id give it a shot.

this movie is seriously like a liberal wet dream, ill bet a lot of u guys just loved it... it had almost no plot, but just shifted from scene to scene of the same kind of stuff Ddc and waves and the rest talk about on here-

ok first , the writers basically tried to make a remake of 1984... but they copied in in such stupid ways and were totally unoriginal... the whole secret police/ detention and torture to give up your friends, freedom is slavery stuff- it wasnt like borrowed from 1984, it was like ripped straight out of 1984 without any changes.... talk about unoriginal.

then it was like the government was like half a 1984 style gov't and the other half basically meant to be like the bush cheney white house.... it was so blatant that it was funny - then in this liberal wet dream fantasy world it was the right wing people who made society into the dystopia- how? by, u guessed it- by being against gay marriage.... like talk about comming out of left field. .... natalie portman is in jail and she reads the story of v and shit and its like i was just thinking, you gotta be fucking kidding me, its like they didnt make the government seem that bad thru the whole movie so now they come up with this just ridiculous stuff they supposedly did- they actually did like a nazi style crackdown on lesbians which was apparently what brought the whole issue to a head.

while i was watching this movie i thought that it was someone like some of you on here writing it while trying to also copy 1984.... it was quite funny and borderline insane. im not saying movies have to be believable but when they are trying to teach lessons about the real world but then change so much of whats actually the case to these absurd grass-is-yellow style plots, its just kinda ridiculous.... yes maybe if bush had done a nazi style crackdown on lesbians than v would have been justified in doing what he did.... but ... um.... he didnt.

thats my review of v for vendetta for u... now lets get some counter opinions- anybody seen it? (yes i now snowmayne and greives and flamingnun saw it in 2005 and hereby do lol at me being behind the times...now that thats out of the way... )

How the hell did you get anything about gay marriage from V For Vendetta?

I liked it. Never read the graphic novel, but I liked the movie. There were tons of plot holes, but there was also lots of senseless violence and blowing stuff up.

Pointless drivel meant to incite...

Looks like you got the point of the film after all...Although you have been subjecting us to those methods for years now j...

i enjoyed watching it, but i can see where critics are coming from.

watchmen on the other hand, is a great movie that everyone seems to hate, some reviews even go on about how they had to force themselves to keep watching rather than leave the theater. wtf

also inception was shit, and shutter island was pretty good

Have any of you seen "1984" with William Hurt? That was an AWESOME film adaptation of the book.
