So that's why...

I was taking over-the-counter Vicodin for a while. Well, OBVIOUSLY not actual "Vicodin" per say... Tylenol 3... so, I'm close enough... acetaminophen, codeine. Just for the hell of it... but I successfully weaned myself off.

Soooo, tonight my back pain was fucking agonising. So I went to emergency at Victoria Hospital, I'm expecting an X-ray or something. so when the doctor finishes feeling me up, he gives me two choices; I could either have a prescription for ACTUAL Vicodin, or six Tylenol 2 tablets.

Now, I DON'T wanna go back on that Tylenol 3 trip... I know of the shit I did to my liver and I seriously don't wanna do that again...

Oh... and I'm stoned as I write this.

I was struck by a car in 1991. I struck the pavement head first and went into an instant coma that lasted three months. My left leg in severe pain too.

Yeah... I love them. I quit because of the shit they do to the liver. Also because they make it hard as fuck to take a piss.

lol 2nd person in recent memory to complain of not being able to piss, i cant say ive ever experienced that, though.

from what i know, its the tylenol in the vicodon or t3 that does a number on your liver not the opiate component.

vicodon is what, 5mg of hydrocodone with 300mg of acetominophen (aka tylenol)?

ok, so its more tylenol than i said. tylenol is bad for your liver man, thats why they say not to take more than 8 per day. 8 x 500 is 4000mg of tylenol for your liver to process in a single day

so what option did you go with? its basically the same thing either way except im guessing t3 is cheaper than vicodon

I went with the 6 T3's... considering the fact that I'd have to wait a night to bring my prescription in to a doctor's office.

Tomorrow,,, the pain's gonna be unbearable,,,

I'm only taking 2 a day now...

And they're flushed. Anyway... I've been dealing with the pain for the past twenty years... come September 7th.

in essence they come from plants, but these days most drugs you get from a pharmacy are synthesized.

nature does way more advanced/crazy synthesis than any pharmaceutical lab. usually the pharms are synthesized starting from a natural product if the molecule is really complex.
