I've grown LOTS of ornamental grasses from tissue culture at the greenhouse I used to work at. Never had any healthy problems with them and, if anything, they seemed more sturdy, stalking and well than their brotheren and sistereren starting by division in soil.

Nice pic Roach

Tissue culture is a rather large pain in the arse when there are easier ways to do it

Sage? Was it tissue culture or micro cloning?

I worked at a greenhouse where the grower ordered the tissue culture.... I had no idea I was in such a technical sounding field....

I just thought I was using some 'sold my shit at the cross-roads' majik way to grow plants

To say I completely understood it wouldn't be true. I get the concept and why I had to do what I did to grow them.

I'm not the guy in the lab, that's for sure.

Well, I was told it was from tissue culture, so I'm just assuming the grower I worked for, who was a 4th generation greenhouser, knew what he was talking about.

I am not sure what micro cloning is?

The greenhouse was all starter plants from seed and divisions 99% of the time. The cultures were to try something new. I don't think Andrew grows that way anymore, it is a REAL hassle to keep moist, especially as spring emerges and temps start to climb.

That would be cool, and a pain, but cool.
Tissue culture needs to be uber sterile and work must be done over a flame where micro cloning is less so and no flame
