I was talking to him this morning when the 'tsunami sirens' went off.

He said the waves are getting huge....

B.C. coast on tsunami advisory - British Columbia - CBC News

I have a friend in Japan as well, who fared okay so far.

So keep all the folks on the Pacific rim in your hearts today. The tides are rising.

If you're one of them, I hope you are okay, or aren't reading this and have moved to safety.

Shit fucking got pretty damn close to real for a second there. Waves were like easily 4-5 feet high and constantly just beating the beach. Like if I would of been walking on the beach shit would of eaten me up for sure.

It's still a bit stormy now with white caps but just normal stormy and no more tsunami alert.

My girlfriend picked an awesome day to fly back to the states from Korea with a layover in Japan... Tokyo Narita.
Last time I talked to her she said they had been diverted to Osaka... people were going crazy in the airport. Then she said she was about to get on a bus to Narita and hopefully get a flight to LA.
Last message I got from her she said an aftershock was hitting the airport and people were freakin...
Haven't talked or heard from her since... hoping she is on a plane.
