i want to aks you something

would you give a couple bux to charity?

im going to give some to Direct Relief International because according to Charity Navigator - America's Largest Charity Evaluator they had the "lowest percentage of funds spent on administrative and fundraising costs of the ten charities named."

if you could just give a few dollars to the charity or humanitarian relief organization of your choice, i think it could make a difference.

if you hate japan, then could you contribute to relief efforts in haiti? cuz they are still pretty fucked up.

i just want to aks all yahookans to please donate some cash if you havent already. please.

I give locally all the time. We generally make gifts of stuff, rather than money, because we have more stuff, but we generally rotate between helping local animal shelters and the local homeless. Homeless animals double dip.

I can't be too sympathetic with the Japanese. I mean, these people know more about the dangers of radiation than anyone, yet despite constant earthquakes and tsunami warnings, they put their nuclear reactors at the beach. I know sea water is a great resource for cooling the core, but really Japan, does the term "use your head" mean ANYTHING to you?

^to be fair, nuclear sites like this have to be close to water, as you know...

And the reason they have an extensive nuclear program is because its cheaper than coal and oil.

You'd think the Japs, of all people, would know a thing or two about radioactive materials and the detrimental affects it has on human health.

gave a dude 85 cents who was waitin for the bus today. that's all he asked me for.

bus fare is 1.75. about a week ago I was walking into the gas station and some chick asked me if I could spare any change for the bus, I gave her $2.00 so she wouldn't have to stand there and beg anyone else.

I don't really donate much money but I do all kinds of charitable work, basically whenever I get the chance. when we had that real bad ice storm there were lots of fallen limbs and what not and I cleaned up my neighbors yard for free.

I don't even think of it as charity though. it's just what I do.

however I will say this. some might think this is mean or wrong or whatever adjective you wanna apply but there are people here in my own neighborhood and city that need help. Japan will be getting tons of help from other governments. ain't nobody helpin the poor folk around here.

doesn't mean I wouldn't or won't donate to Japan but my prime concern is local.

I need to know something: when Katrina hit, how much money did the Japanese send to help out New Orleans?

which boss? I have at least a thousand. I get paid 2.63 an hour and then some big russian family comes in, orders 50 items, eats up my time asking me to modify every dish because nothing on our 20 page menu is good enough and then tips me 3 dollars then I take that 3 dollars and buy my chef a redbull so he can keep up with everything I put in the positouch.

charity. whachu know about it?

Japan Proves Truly "A Friend Indeed" After Hurricane Katrina
Quote:
Washington -- If the saying "a friend in need is a friend indeed" is true, Japan is one of the best friends the United States ever could have to provide support while so many Americans are suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Japanese private citizens and the government alike have sent a virtual tsunami of assistance to the victims of Katrina, which devastated 90,000 square miles along the U.S. Gulf Coast in August. Hundreds of thousands of people lost their homes and hundreds lost their lives.

Japan has pledged more than $1.5 million in private donations. The government of Japan has donated $200,000 in cash to the American Red Cross and some $800,000 in relief supplies -- from blankets to generators -- already are arriving to aid the most needy. Japanese firms with operations in the United States have donated some $12 million in total, including Honda Motor Corporation ($5 million), Hitachi ($1 million) and Nissan (more than $750,000).

The U.S. Embassy in Tokyo was overwhelmed by the generosity of one Japanese individual -- Takashi Endo -- who donated $1 million from his personal funds to Katrina relief efforts...

edit: p.s. and shame on you rev for even axing that

Dayyummm SON Rev done got diplomatically served.

I rarely give to charity. I spend all my money on myself and my family. I am a terrible person.

I don't believe that. But I'm gonna buy a drum kit instead of saving lives in Haiti.

Evil?
