Any of you naggers native Swedish speakers?
Or any of the northern Germanic languages?
I'm downloading a Rosetta stone pack right now cause I figure if I'm not gonna do anything all day, I may as well be productive while I don't do anything and learn myself a new language. If that makes any sense. I'm kinda really feeling like learning Swedish. Not entirely sure why, but I've always been attracted to the Scandinavian languages, and Swedish is the one that spoken by the most people. That plus their words are awesome. "Papperslapp" means piece of paper. Say it out loud. That shit is fun to say. Anyway, you Norse motherfuckers should point me in the direction of which one would be easiest to pick up. I know it's not going to be easy, of course. But I mean in terms of an American English speaker jumping in feet first.

I'm from denmark, did you know that?
I would go with either swedish or norwegian. For me as a denmarkian, norwegian is easier to understand. They say danish is really hard to pick up.

Totes forgot. I had you listed as Scottish in the "Where are the 'Hookan's From" portion of my brain.
Time to fix that... "Are you sure you'd like to save this file as 'The Don'? A file already exists with this name and will be replaced" ☐ No ☑ Yes "Change successful. 'The Don' is now listed as Denmark" - - - I do remember hearing that about Danish, but I wasn't sure if there was any credibility to it. Edit: Wikipedia says that Swedish is "to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish" so that would be cool. Learning one language and being able to somewhat understand two others along with it. Edit 2: To be honest, Icelandic would be my first choice, because I find it to be the most aesthetically pleasing language. But apparently it's harder than the Devil's dick to learn and not too many people speak it.

Yeah icelandic is really cool. I can understand parts of it if I concentrate. It's what I imagine danish was a 1000 years ago.
What I "dislike" about swedish is that even though i can understand it, they throw some fucking weird words in there, like icecream: "Is" in danish, and "glass" in swedish. Or fun. Which is "sjov" in danish, and "rolig" in swedish. "Rolig" in turns mean calm in danish. Ya. Go for it buddy, then come over here, and we'll rock out with our cocks being kept firmly to ourselves.

Talk to Capt. Cannabis I'm pretty sure he's fluent in at least one Scandinavian language.

Hahaha!
I got me the Swedish Rosetta Stone program. Just started about a half hour ago. One thing I don't get is the word "de" which is pronounced "dom". I mean I understand that it means "they", but just the spelling is so weird to me. And the intricacies on inflection too. Man and Män are so similar sounding but one is the plural of the other. I can tell that's going to be difficult to master.
