Personally?

I hate the word white trash. I hear it thrown around all the time, by people who would never be caught saying something like nigger. its like they're saying they're not people. just fucking garbage because they can't manage to fulfill the role of whites as the dominant race.

otherwise good and thoughtful people throw this one around all the time. it makes me rage so fucking hard! spend some time in a trailer park and then come back and tell me each person by name and what kind of garbage they are

Yeah white trash is bothersome, any of them are bothersome really. People who use those words just sound exactly how you think they sound anyways, I wouldn't get too angry about it. There's nothing anyone can really do...people are going to sound stupid, and when they do, might as well let them.

true, true. i guess i can't really get too high and mighty about it. i have friends who are pretty racist but i can look past it, people just have different experiences i guess...

and i'm not gonna lie, i have referred to a white friend as 'nigga' before (i guess to be ironic...stupid really). i guess i'm bothered by racism and ignorance in general, but i can tune it off. if its one of my specific pet peeves, though....you better watch out! no one mildly annoys me and gets away with it!

I hate the term/slur jungle fever.. I'm a white male who has dated ebony and indian women and that just erks me so bad.. I don't date just one race/ethnicity. Equal opportunity baby!! But the snickers and jibber jabber I hear when I was with another "skin tone" peeved me so bad. Just my 2 pesos

Other than that, in other context they're all acceptable and even fun terms to throw around.

i wonder why cunt offends women so much when dick isn't that bad. maybe men are just proud to be identified by their phallus?

and women certainly are subject to a lot of bullshit, both by men and by other women.

when i lived in a school dormitory they had a problem with people using racial slurs in the common areas (i wouldnt know, i only went there to pass out). after a while the powers that be put up a giant piece of paper with the instructions to write down racial slurs you've used/have been used on you.

according to them it actually helped the problem. words i never realized were still a big deal turns out can really hurt someone

back when we were little my cousins would call me a mic or a paddy, and i would call them wop or guido (they were Italian and i was Irish ofc).

it was all in good fun and not meant to hurt the other. it was much later i learned that it actually made some of the older people in the family pretty uncomfortable.
