Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

i think our generations , the last few and the next few... will truly occupy a unique position in history.

i mean in the past people thought they had "the answer".... but today, we basically do.

we can nearly explain with only a few holes, how humans got from big bang to today....and explain it thru experimental demonstration of the various things we have in that story to show how we got from there to here.

the future humans will just be able to live utopian blissful lives, assuming we dont destroy ourselves first.... they will wonder how we ever managed to live in such a brutish state where we actually had to find out what humans were and how to genetically implant whatever to prevent cancers and that there was a time when there werent artificial hearts, organs, brains, skin.... everything.... and tiny computers that could enhance just about every aspect of human experience from sex to travel. and that there was a time when we dug these huge holes into the planet it a vain quest to get enough resources to burn and use up- before the discovery of ways to create limitless (or unfathomably large) amounts of power, resources, etc... from either solar or nuclear power of some kind or another.

we will be the cave men of the future- the people who stumbled in the dark and hit rocks together until the , seemingly by accident, created fire. and all since will enjoy the fruits of our discoveries....

acomplishments like- landing a human on our moon, discovery of dna, telescopic observation of the remnants of the big bang.... these cant be "rediscovered" and they arent going to be "supplanted" like religion was, by science... a new discovery or fact about life will have to explain things like dna and space, whether the way we have it now is exactly right or not- whereas in the past people believed many things that ended up being totally false and having no place in the overall explanation of things.

Well, in a thousand years, if some how I'm able to remember this life time, I probably won' be proud of us. In the last 10 years we have royally fucked ourselves, and continue to do so.

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." - Einstein

I agree with this, we are on a path to destruction.

I think we'll be remembered as the ones that fucked it all up as we scavenge to survive in a mad max style wasteland

I don't think I'll be particularly proud. Our world is still pretty fucked in my opinion. I don't think we'll ever make it to the blissful, everyone is healthy and happy society. There are just too many shitty people in the world for it to happen. Regardless, I think we are better off than the generations before us.

Really depends on which society in which generation man. I imagine 20 generations ago, being an indigenous of north america was pretty dope, just running around in a loin cloth killing deer and playing games and fucking, with no boss, just a shared prerogative to make sure you got enough food for your tribe, working together, tight knit relationships.. something a little more real.

But hey I'm gonna go dickfuckfartaround at my bullshit job for a while so I can make the money i need to get the fuck where I want to be, cuz fuck this shit.

Unless something pretty remarkable happens or is discovered, it probably will be over shadowed by the 20th century.

If I had created something that had any impact in world, I might.

As it is, I can't really be proud of anything, It's not like any of this is my doing.

Dig it?

I'll be proud of all the technological inventions and the worldwide communication systems. All the war, famine, and hatred for one another makes me wonder tho.. I say yup I'm good with it in general.

If I use my imagination a little, I see us all as slaves to the wealthy who rule and destroy the earth for their comfort and more wealth....wait...tha t's now.

I can't imagine us existing if we keep on going as we are....the earth will purge us as a destructive microbe if it isn't destroyed first, because of our screw everything else but preserve the human race attitude.

Actually, I say no to your question tho'......
