Skeeviest excuses for skipping class/exams

I told my Anthro teacher my grandfather died of a stroke and that's why I missed two classes and an exam when really I just went on an oxy/Fallout New Vegas binge, and he gave me two weeks to do the exam and emailed me the lecture notes!

Felt bad but damn sometimes shit comes up. Like drugs.

No worries, he's got 3 more grandparents (more if you count step parents' parents). He can do this like every other week.

so you lied to skip something that you pay money for....wooohoo...

what a champion of the earth...

next time walk out of a movie right after the previews, but make sure you lie and tell the teller on your way out that you had a family emergency and get your money back...

I never understood why people who are paying for their education skip at all, when that shit was coming out of my wallet, I made sure I was there every fucking day just so that I wouldn't feel like I was totally cheating myself out of thousands of dollars plus intrest...I eat my words if that shit is comp'd by parents, relatives or scholarships...

I usually just tell the truth, because if I miss class its for a reason. Like, tomorrow I have a job interview so I e-mailed the professors whose classes I'll be missing letting them know whats up and why. Never back fired on me yet!

When my dad was really sick I missed an entire week of classes, including two exams. There was no way around it, and I didn't give a fuck. In life, you make decisions by deciding what means most to you. And my dad certainly was more than any grade. I remember emailing a prof explaining the situation before I missed the exam, and got a nastygram back about how I'd take a 0 for the exam, etc. Total doucher for no reason. The guy got a response back about how low he was. I came back the next week and one of my other profs was a woman from Turkey who was SO amazingly sweet and understanding that it totally restored my faith in the horseshit circus that is college.
Truth is better. I can't imagine having lied and gotten that response from this woman, falsely.

Not an exam, but I skipped this sowing class (which was mandatory) for the better part of a year. I told my teacher my parents where fighting, and I didn't have the chance to eat at home, so I had to eat my breakfeast in her class. I don't know why she "fell" for it, but I took a good 1,5 hours every wednesday.

I didn't even get into trouble when they contacted my parents because they thought I had a bad home enviroment. Weird.

Never lied to skip an exam (not that I've not thought about it), however I've used a couple of my disabilities as an excuse to get extensions on papers and whatnot, try not to do it too often... alway worried that karma will find a particularly nasty way to pay me back for it... Don't think I could say that I lost a family member to get out of class...
