Another cool thing

So at work about 3 weeks ago this couple came into the shop, just some normal middle aged folk, chick was in her later 30's and the dude looked to be mid 40s, they wanted to know if I could restore a badly damaged poster that was like 25 years old. I told them I could probably do it so they brought it in. They claimed it was one of only two known to be in existence (I sort of giggled inside) it was for a Guns N Roses concert at the ODEON THEATRE featuring the new single "Welcome to the Jungle". But damn this thing had apparently fallen into a giant fish tank and was badly warped, wrinkled and otherwise damaged. It was on some sort of board backing but was about 40% ripped away and hanging off. Other pockets were also in there making it one hell of a bitch to scan, let alone it was approx 40" x 64".

Anyways 3 weeks later (2 days ago) its all finished and printed, the couple comes in and they are really happy with it, they were really cool, so they go ahead and order quite a few more prints in a few sizes, I remember thinking damn that's gonna be expensive. So I was off yesterday and so today I come in and there is a copy laying on the table and its autographed. Turns out that homeboy was Alan Niven who was Guns N Roses Manager for the 80's 90/91. Cool! I was just kinda bummed I wasn't there when he picked them up, I would have had all kinds of questions.

Cool though, I gotta get this thing laminated or something.
