A bunch of bitches up in this thread for sure.

That's exactly what I said earlier too, everyone and their dog can go to school on loans these days. However you actually have to be smart to pick a good career and be good at it.
Ah Spank, goin ROTC nazi?

We played some ROTC fools at paintball cuz they needed opponents and we got paint and play for free. Spanked those noobs so hard. Some ROTC freshman walked up to my friend and was like "you friendly?" and my friend was like "ya" even tho he totally wasn't friendly and he shot the ROTC dweeb in the back as he was walking away.

ROTC noob complained to his CO who was like LOL you think the Talibans gonna be all fucking honorable about combat? Run a lap noob.

Wow...

Look I'm sorry you had to gamble with your life to get the opportunity to go to college, way to go, glad you didn't get dead.

I'm not talking about a free education, I'm talking about students who went to school, paid the money and couldn't for whatever reason get out from under debt and were not offered the same opportunity to get out from under a mountain brought on by trying to better yourself as the stupid cunt who just bought too many pairs of shoes...

Didn't you read or did you just formulate an opinion based on who was posting and jump right in?

I myself do not possess a degree as I was busy raising a family but that's okay since all you smart fellas'll always need a lump like me to make the machines go, my son is school and he'll get an education without having to put his life on the line for the corporations who won't hire him when he gets done rolling the dice.
Did you just assume I was trolling because I didn't agree with you? If you actually read and paid attention to my post, it addresses that very subject.

If you go to college and get a degree that is NOT useful in the REAL world, then you are not going to find a job unless you're great at networking. Again, with the United States basic education being the complete train wreck shit it is, I don't care if your child has to pay to go to school.

Are the interest rates high? Yeah they are, but compared to the salary they will make over their lifetime compared to NOT having an advanced degree it's worth the money. Fact is, we need janitors and McDonalds employees too buddy.

Your little one have a wonderful degree in Business? Can I talk to the manager of the supermarket please?

A wonderful degree in marketing? Sure you can make flyers for my business for minimum wage.

Or the infamous Art degree? Two sugars please.

Welcome to reality.

ROTC is a really good way to determine that the military is not for you.

Some do it in high school JROTC.

The military is a great job if you enjoy making it through life per say. You'll never be rich, and you'll never LOVE your job, but it will pay you enough to make a decent living and raise a family. That is if you don't get blown up or shot in a foreign country fighting a war you don't understand. But other than that, great job.

I prefer the concept of mercenaries, they are professional with no empathy, and a thorough knowledge of their own "rules of engagement bullshit" that varies little from war to war.

At one time I had considered the French Foreign Legion (anyone remember them).

They epitomized professional soldiering .

it's a natural transition.

you learn the "skills" in the service.

then you're "allowed" to use those skills as a merc.

The FFL is a joke organization that doesn't accomplish anything. I'm a tad bit outdated on my information, but the big organizations in the US are Xe, ArmorCorp, and some others. Most the "operators" in those companies are what military guys call good old boys. Meaning you need to have spent a long time in some military branch to even get accepted. Most those guys are retired special forces, spooks, and other govy boys looking to make some good dollars. It's hard as shit to get in with them.

Most of them are complete pieces of shit by the way. Hence why, Blackwater USA, now Xe, was kicked out of Iraq for violations of the law of war.
