What is the difference between Vaporizers and Herbal vaporizers?

a vaporizer (to raise air moisture content) uses no heat.

an herbal vaporizer uses heat to vaporize the "herbal"

oils, which raises the oil content in the air.

a humidifier vaporizes water, hence it's a water vaporizer.

poster was asking why a humidifier can't be used for herb, I had supposed.

a water 'vaporizer' (boils water to form vapor also, in the form of steam which is hot humid air)

so I suppose also, if a person filled a water vaporizer with hash oil (expensive), it could be used to produce large amounts of smoke...

possibly fire too

the difference between the two would possibly be scale and temperature used to vaporize the two different substances.

I'm guessing the one for water/other fluids would be to hot, but I'm not sure.

I only know about herbal vaps.

they improve the quality of herbal smoke.

what an herbal vaporizer does is vaporize the thc bearing oils from the herb at a sufficient, yet relatively low temperature. The advantage here is in not burning the other fibrous material in the herb, and hence not receiving most of nasty carcinogens normally found in herb smoke.

my mom used to put a humidifier in my room when id get sick. it just had a spinning plate with paddles on it that basically beat water into a fine mist and allowed it to escape into the room.

itd take a whileeeeee to get stoned off that (i tried)

ok , I read your whole link advertisment !

these yahoos are selling a vaporizer that suposedly vaporizes tobacco (or some nicotine bearing product) in much the same way in which the vaporizers stoners use work.

if it supplies you with nicotine it isn't going to help break a nicotine related cigarette smoking addiction, and therefore I'm calling false advertising on that one.

bottom line, stop smoking tobacco and replace it with vaporized marijuana ("vapors")

aka............SMOKE .
