what were the specs of the first pc u ever owned?
i am not sure how old i was but my first pc was a Packard Bell 386 33mhz of blazing speed and a monstrous 16mg of ram....not sure how big the hard drive was but i am sure it was mind boggling.
i remember playing a lot of wolfenstien spear of destiny on that thing. Good times man good times I remember the first time i ever heard of the internet they had a thing on the news about how easy it was to get porn on it. They said something about just typing in some web site and i had no idea what the hell it was so i went to DOS and tried to type in the web address lol. It dint work ![]() i miss my old pc...but i really dont miss DOS....I think it ran windows 3.1 I literally remember the exact day i got windows 95...my friend and I were so amazed by the fact that they included the video to Weezers Buddy Holly song that we actually took turns clickin on what ever started the song and video...like we thought we were total Gods for having the ability to make that video appear literally anytime we wanted with just a click. We also spent a lot of time going through this encyclopedia software the came on the pc. Soooo easily entertained back then...i wish it was still that easy to be amused

I believe ours had 32 megs of RAM, that's only thing I can remember because my dad still makes fun of the salesmen to this day: "32 megs of RAM, that's more than anyone will ever need", apparently gesturing at me like I'd inherit that Hewlett-Packard fossil haha.
Good times 90's (for me), good times Edit: Damn, now that I type HP, it was definitely a Packard-Bell just like yours, had Windows 3.1 too, I think my favorite game was just the original Worms demo, only had 2 levels but what else do you need?

my dad also had a really really old (or maybe just shitty) computer in ukraine which was like this little box that had to be connected to a television and a cassette player. i remember playing lode runner on it and it a couple minutes to load up from the tape.

Compaq Presario.. don't remember the model.
I think 233mhz, 4 gigs of memory, 128mb ram. Playing TFC on a shrunken screen with lowest video settings was the bomb! Starcraft was cool too

Rebel Assault II, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?, Oregon Trail, and a kickass 3d racing/track building game called Stunts. <object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YhOHJ9zw3rM?fs=1& ;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScree n" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptacc ess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YhOHJ9zw3rM?fs=1& ;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="a lways" allowfullscreen="tru e" width="480" height="390"></embed></object> Yes that is the actual music from the game.

i love the way that anybody who had a pc during a certain time frame was playing doom...probably the shareware version too lol
man i miss shareware...my dad was friends with some tax guy named George and he was like in his late 50s back when i first got my pc and the dude was just into wolfenstein hardcore lol....he also had tons and tons of shareware. I would ask my dad if we could stop by his office every thursday after school so i could pick up the latest and greatest in shareware. He was a kewl ol guy man...loved killing nazis.

In 1985 I had this mofo: Galaksija - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The only game available was Jumping jack and that ancient pinball game with a bouncing ball and a line resembling a racket. |

Fuck yes, Comp. I forgot about that game - I spent countless hours playing it and am pretty sure it's a part of what developed my love/appreciation of driving, today!
Still trying to find a proper tunnel to do a "loop" in.

Growing up we had a sweet ass tandy 3000 (my dad was ahead of the curve on the PC). I think it was manufactured by RadioShack. It had a whopping 8 Mhz processor with 512kb of RAM and 5mb of memory! It had a monochrome monitor, and any time you wanted to do anything but the simplest tasks you constantly had to swap out those old huge floppy disks.
It wasn't capable of doing much, but it had a few games on it including a game where you pick up kids in a school bus and a fireman game in which you saved people. If I wanted to do any legit gaming, I had to cross the street and play on my neighbour's NES or his Commodore64. Oh and I played the shit out of that stunt game as well (on our second PC), that game was boss. Ah, memories. |

commodore amiga was my first computer. at school we had apple 2e, but the amiga was far more powerful.
i had 4mb of "fast" ram and 2mb of "slow" chip ram. 32 colour display, 640x400. i believe it was 33mhz. it was a 32-bit computer but it actually worked as a 16-bit. my dad definitely participated in some kind of 3.5inch floppy disc gaming pirate ring, so i basically had all arcade games that existed at the time, plus all the lemmings games.
