Mom too friendly.

So I don't know really where this fits in. But last night (4/20) I went over for a hor'dourvs and birthday party for the girl I am talking to little brother. He turned the big 13. Anyways this mom really freaked me out there was a small group of us and this mom seemed more down to socialize with college students than her own son.
The first thing she does when I get there is hand me a big glass of wine. and kept them coming. I found this a bit weird but w/e had it happen before so drink up.
A few other things I found strange but not a big deal. The last thing I found weirdest as all hell. The mom said you should go look at some facebook pictures you just got tagged in. Girl and I go look at them they are of us drunk the other night making out...
Why would a mom be stoked about a picture of her daughter like that????? I got this feeling her mom is trying real hard to act young.

Anyways today will be fun I get to tell the said girl her mom is crazy.. just gotta figure out a diplomatic way to say it. Yall agree thats insane right? Oh and she is from Beverly Hills I think this may explain something.

Well, the crazy part to me is that she was serving alcohol at a 13 years old's B-day party. I would have done some 13 year old stuff, and so would've you, and all the other guests. After all, it's his day.

As far as pics of my kid, drunk, making out with some guy she was just talking to...
If she had posted those pics on Facebook, I could see me doing that just to tease her, to show her I saw them.

As a person who has always had friends of all ages, I must say, you do sound like someone who would like to stick all us old people in a box, marked 'No Fun'. I don't want to be stuck there.

The most insane thing about your post is that you are planning on telling your girl that her mother is crazy. If it were my daughter, that would be the last thing you would say to her. You'd get dumped.

I don't mean this in an unkind way. I'm not sure how to say it nicer, but I really think, if you like this girl, keep your feelings about her mom, to yourself.

Maybe she's just a little lonely and doesn't have friends that drink and socialize together on a regular basis and jumped at the opportunity to hang out in that sort of environment. I know plenty of older ladies that are like that. They're social circles aren't that great or their friends are kinda frumpy or whatever. I hang out with one of my friends mom all the time. She's a cool older head that still likes to party. Once we all turned 18 she just kinda started hangin out and packing bowls.

But anyway.....you should probably hit that.

I understand how this could be a little weird... mostly because it was at a 13 year old's BD party. It would have been cooler if she invited the two of you over another day and had dinner and some wine. I have my parents over all the time I cook dinner we drink some wine then play a board/word game. My parents are pretty fun. My gf is a little old then me so we have a few friends that are 40+ I don't find it weird.
in your circumstance yes I do see some oddity in it, but God do not tell her you think her mom is a loon!?

Yea it was the situation. Drinking with parents is fine. Ignoring the fact 13 year old there. I don't think ill mention how crazy I think her mom is.
