I find that blaring "Ride of the Valkyries" will get me ready for just about anything. either that or sometimes I believe it's the third movement from beethoven's 9th.

Also if I'm working late shifts at the liquor store you can bet there will be beer and bowls beforehand. basically a free for all at the store, long as the boss man aint there. which he seldom is after 5. long as we get our work done we can basically do whatever we want. to an extent of course.

when I quit McD's to start working here I had no idea there could be a job with so much FREEDOM. your every move is monitored in a kitchen.

haha that sounds kinda cool. I applied at a liquor store a few years back.

Ive worked in a variety of restaurants but now im working in a machine shop and I gotta say I wish I would have started this job right out of high school. Instead of rushing around all the time dealing with pissy customers and pissy staff, now I get to take my time making quality parts for Caterpillar. The difference on my stress level and pride in the job is amazing.

A lot of the guys at the shop down energy drinks like they're going out of style but I usually just drink water or an occasional cup of coffee. Never really been big on the energy drinks.

id say energy drinks are like shitty coke

they make me feel like shit for days after

besides redbull, shits pretty clean but is pricey as fuck.

Dudes I work with that are on nights just suffer and hate life, and get into the swing of it after a while - at which point theyre usually switched back to days. this is refrigeration contracting work.

I wish I had gotten into it right out of highschool too. Those school niggers really fucked with my expectations of life and careers and jobs and shit.
