Not at all. It just becomes habit. Take 10 seconds(at the very most) to pop it against a table to get a better smoke.

Good job folks!!!!!

And when I did I did as well.... although I usually went for the individual smoke tamp/tap.
To me smoking is social, so either at the table or on the way out I'd tap it a few times.

I guess I should REALLY answer, WHEN I smoke I do

cause I still have 2-3 a year after having completely abstained for a number of years.

pack a day

when i rolled my own i would use this big can of dried out american spirit tobacco with a punch of some yummy pipe tobacco

The idea behind packing is that when you hit the top of the pack where the filter is, and then kind of jerk it back afterwards, you will "unsettle" the tobacco in the cigs from sitting on shelves. It's not really that noticeable if you have a hard time identifying different smoke types. I could always tell when a cig hasn't been packed by the way it hit.
