I've had my truck since like middle of 05, feels good to have kept a vehicle that long, paid it off and all.

My Toyota is 19 years old this year. I love it dearly. I bought a bike for the summer so I'll have an opportunity to park the car and shine it up real nice.

I second that. I've had my ranger since Oct '01 w/ 30k miles on. Now its over 200k. Ran synthetics since I got it. My silverado was my very 1st brand new "car" I got in May 06 for a steal after new models came out. I paid it off last year. Sadly the bed is beat to shit on the inside. Damn cheapo spray in bedliner. Never again will I buy brand new, the resale value goes to crap as soon as you drive it off the lot.

that reminds me of when i lived on commercial drive and a buddy of mine had this baller rols royce right in his yard

it didnt't run but the casette player worked and we just sat in it honking at people walking by, asking strangers if they want to hit this joint, hotboxing and listening to like the eagles or something because there was only one tape in it and it was stuck in there good.

You always buy roller skates in pairs...

Seriously, I bought the red one first, mostly to help a buddy keep from losing his house. He needed $1,500 and I needed a car. The white one I bought after I had been driving the red one for a couple of years with the intention of selling off the red one but no one in the family will let me sell either.

It's neat though, I've become involved in a solid community of like minded individuals who are ready to help when they can. We sent over $2,000 to Japan to help one of our board members who lost everything to the earthquake and tsunami. We raised another fifteen hundred for the family of a friend who passed away suddenly to help his family cope with the expenses of burying a loved one. There are members who freely give up their time and expertise to help folks keep their cars on the road, me included. Track days, tech days, cruises and picnics. All walks of life, all ages, all religions, orientations and affiliations.

So far as Miatas being 'little gay cars', here is my friend Sonny on a wet track with cycled tires pushing a whole whopping 100whp. This IS the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

p.s. Both those cars were driven home from that event.

Yup the car culture is like a giant family.. Some you only see in person a couple times a year @ shows and gatherings. One of the ranger forums I post in had a get together @ a Indy car show.. We had 40+ rangers from as far away as Florida. We had a whole row to ourselves, totally awesome. Plus with enthusiast sites you can find good deals on parts and make connections to get work done cheap(if not free).

miatas are lovely to drive. top down, back country road, coffee in hand = my favorite thing in the entire world. wish I had my own. I do not understand 7' tall monster dudes who drive them though, you dont even fit in the goddamn thing. my aunt looks good in hers though cutiepatootie.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

Before I became a transit rider, voluntarily, I was very thankful for my '97 Subaru Legacy Outback..... got me through some serious weather.

Once my driving back a snow covered road to smoke a joint saved 4 people's lives. They'd taken their Pontiac back this road, I still don't know how, and as there was no tracks, I assume they'd been there for some time.

Now they.... THEY loved my car

my 86 toyota pickup is my love and joy.

learned to drive when i was 15, manual with no power steering. shitty interior and faded paint. sucked as a dd for hs, especially when your trying to take girls somewhere, but i didnt have the heart to sell it. ended up getting into rock crawling senior year, and since 07 its all down hill

chopped the ifs off, put a solid axle on
had to rebuild motor
got 33s and welded on sliders
locked the rear with 5.29 cryo treated gears
smashed the shit out of the bed, so i bobbed it
got 35s and locked the front
put dual cases and .25 drivelines front and rear
dovetailed the rear
then 37s came and my power steering hated me
modified a jeep tc style ps pump for my 4cyl
redid front suspension and steering linkage, pushed my axle 3 inches forward
now its got hydro assist steering, and longfield 30 splines up front

id say its more of an addiction than love

next is propane and stock sti turbo to a custom exhaust manifold to get rid of my carb, it doesnt like to run when the truck is completely sideways, and in some trails, driving sideways means your on the right line
i beat my bitch like it owes me money

No. I don't love my car. Considering the fact that I don't own a car.

absofuckinlutely love my car. i said 5 years ago that i would own an M3 within five years. took me just under 4 to make it happen. waterpump went on friday unfortunately, so it's in the garage waiting for parts/repairs.

took her on a 4000+mi roadtrip which included an E36 (generation) ///M3 enthusiast get together/autocross. hit the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel.

day i bought her:

group of us heading to an autocross...(yes he's towing with his ///M)

last week
