^that's no lie....

You know that song about the Old Lady who swallowed one?
I fucked her up kids....

All those verses were just comedic relief to cover up the atrocity of the whole thing.....

nah, never have. might have to put it on my summer reading list (which is getting pretty big, only one sleepless week to go). seems like the premise makes sense though, what kind of sacrifice would jesus be making if it were not a choice, and if he did not have temptations how could he have choice?
i've had to read a lot of books dealing with free will and the powers of man this summer, so i guess i'm kind of inclined to frame everything christian in that context right now (Augustine's On The Free Choice of the Will, Some Aquinas and Abailard, Bonaventura's On the Mind's Road to God [my favorite], etc)

^ once witnessed allah and buddha singing at the savior's feast, while above them in the sky an arabian rabbi fed quaker oats to a priest. after seeing this he decided that everything was pretty good, as it is not bad, and thus is all the same. realizing this, he can never complain.
edit: john prine - pretty good

There is also a movie that will get the idea across to you.
I've never read a book so fast in all my life though.
It was REALLY good and changed my perspective for sure.

^Doesn't know what he's talking about
