I have a dishwasher for the first time in my life, I never use it because I'm not used to having one. I go through a ton of dishes... every dinner I usually use 4-6 pots, 2 cutting board, a chinious, several hot plates, 10-15 ramekins plus utensils and plates. My girlfriend is amazing I cook and she cleans works for me!

It's that low because I do repairs, also.(plastering, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

If I weren't ashamed of it, I'd post pics.

On the upside...probably after the next housing/market crash housing costs will finally go back down to affordable levels....in say 5 to ten years.
ah, gotcha. i guess i've just never lived in a big city so i didnt know. and one of the reasons my apartment is cheap is because no one does repairs
if i fixed it up a bit my cunt landlord would probably start charging more for it

......and it's MOzzura.

When I lived in Iowa my rent, even if a fair size city was $300 a month +utlities in a BIG one bedroom.

Now this was 12 years ago, close to now.... but still, at $8/hour @ 40hrs I had money to spare, so I reckon the cost of living was pretty low as well.

Don't get me started about 'quality' of it though

as long as you dont say mizzurEE

ya cost of living in this podunk town isn't too bad. everything comes from walmart, so at the price of your soul you get cheap groceries. gas is bad everywhere though, im glad im driving an efficient car since i drive for a living, or else i'd really be feeling the crunch.

The cheapest apartment ive come across so far in NJ was 600 a month.

It was basically a small hallway with a bathroom.
In the middle of the ghetto as well, not even one near a city.

At the same time, its fairly easy to find a minimum job here unless youre lazy and black. Complete service dominated economy here.

Still minimum wage does not = 600 a month plus living expenses.

let alone the average price for a one bedroom in a normal area at 900 a month....

First--Chores high. yes.

Had one until we moved here---happy to have a lower electricity bill, but wish there wasn't always a pile of shite to clean up after every meal.
