Your favorite foreign films

So yea another thread where you all recommend things for me. But seriously, one of the reasons Netflix pwns is because they have a lot of movies most Americans have only marginal interest in i.e. foreign films, meaning they have a huge collection of great movies.

I mainly watch French movies of all genres, and Korean horror (the supernatural/revenge stuff not the squicky pedo-slasher stuff) but am open to anything.

Movies I like that are on Netflix:

Mesrine (Vincent Cassel plays a psychotic bank robber, can't recommend this one enough.)

Delicatessen (if you haven't at least heard of this one you are uninvited to this thread.)

A Tale of Two Sister (super spooky Korean horror with a totally shattering and thoughtful ending)

Man Bites Dog (Belgian I think, fake documentary following around a serial killer)

Audition (Korean, has one of the most intense final scenes in horror movie history)

So whatchu all into?

Oldboy is a strong candidate for best film ever imo.

Hollywood is foreign to me I guess but since they haven't made a good film since the 70's they can fuck off.

Yeah honestly the only "foreign" films I enjoy are some British movies. I don't even know where to start with foreign films.

akira kurosawa movies

zatoichi movies

joyeux noel is a good holiday movie

the numerous amounts of thought provoking to absolutely disgusting/terrifying asian horror flicks (audition, ichi the killer, old boy, ect..)

just reading about a serbian film after aidz posted about it made me realize i never wanted to see it, but gonna throw that on this list cause it's foreign (to america).

You got 4 Kusturica's movies in your list but not the only Oscar winning movie from down there "No Man's Land"? Biased much?
