They have some right wing religious moralising coalition in power that want to stop it on puritanical grounds.

It's ironic though, the problem the Dutch have is idiotic drug tourists from abroad (there is no problem with the Dutch themselves) and also that there is no legitimate source for the coffee shops meaning they can only buy bulk weed from hoods.

Also, Holland's neighbours, particularly France, have been complaining and leaning on them for a long time because their population are driving over there to score weed.
So if anyone wants to open a hydro shop in France or Germany, now's your moment...

how many international music festivals and award shows come all the way to friggen denmark just because of the pot laws....and now wont.... every year there are like 20 festivals and the cannabis cup awards there....can only imagine how much tourist money goes into it.

how many brits take weekend trips there just for the relaxed drug laws.... those british people have no reason to go there anymore and waste their time if its no different than being in britian....

Why is the "Right" ALWAYS fucking wrong? This will surely push things underground, and pot is so entrenched, anyone will be able still get it as if it were still legal. He's not far wrong though, it's less than an hours flight and about £70 for a weekend return to Amsterdam, pretty good value considering it's about half the price of train ticket from Scotland to London.

wow i dont know why i wrote denmark either. but im glad captn is on the case to root out any geographical errors. seeing as they are about 100 miles from one another. being on the other side of the planet, id say it wasnt too bad for pulling it out of my ass.

its also kinda funny to think that captn would be able to correct something based on rote facts and memorization but when it comes to the broad ideas like whether brits would come there anymore hes like oh i dont have a sliderule to explain how x = british like to go to holland so he just cant figure out that part. i saw a virtual kissing box that the japanese are making now.... im sure hed enjoy one of those cuz of the realistic technical reproduction factors....x=good...
