salad dressing: yes or no?

i cant get anybody at my house to eat normal salads with dressing. they just want raw veggies cut up on a plate they can eat with their hands. a little cup of ranch to dip in? no, they wont even go for that.
i find it very weird, but they just dont like any kind of vinnaigrette or anything.

how bout you?

I'm staring off in the distance trying to remember if I've ever had a good salad without dressing, and...I haven't.

I might need to try this.

dig the Rainbow, yo.

Newman's as in 'Paul' has some great dressings, and I like Ginger Dressing too.

Baby Spinach, sliced almonds, mandarin oranges, Goat cheese and Raspberry Vinaigrette

Like WOW, man.

Raspberry Vinegegrette, Caesar and Italian are my favs.

There is also a flavor called Champagne that comes in chic glass bottles, goes for around 4 bux a pop but that stuff is fantastic.

I dig the variants on/using balsamic vinegar, Italian, Caeser...

Can't stand ranch, french, russian...

Ranch is like the McDonald's of salad dressing. Guilty pleasure but I prefer it with french fries as it's a bit tacky to use it as dressing these days.

oil and balsamic most of the time

occasionally we get a bottle of 1000 Islands for when we make rubens (a sandwich you HAVE to try ) so from time to time there is a small bottle of that to use as well.

I like ranch sometime....

In all those though I wouldn't say I used more than a table spoon's worth of any of those however.

My 'favourite' is seeing a 'salad lover' with a couple of leaves essentially floating around a moat of mayonnaise/ranch. blek

prentious douche, and also, that's not really a "dressing", so what's up? O.o

I also like balsamic (sp?) and other oil based dressings.

I prefer them much to the ones without clear texture.

what?

i have to say, my mom makes the best italian salads ive ever eaten. i wont even touch bottled dressing because im so spoiled by that.

as far as plain vs dressed. i do enjoy plain veggies, but usually a salad is mostly lettuce which i dont care to eat plain.

ceasar ftw
