Hard Jeans

Whatever happened to Levi's hard jeans? The ads made them look like they were dipped in tar or something. Yet I read that they were just some kind of old school denim.

If this idea was scrapped, then what are the most durable /hardcore jeans in existence today? I'm talking, like, able to deflect a glancing blow with a knife or something.

I have riding pants made of kevlar, those should do the job for you. I got mine at a bike show.

Ok, I just bought three new pairs of shorts. I don't consider my epidermis to be a primary layer of protection.

Kevlar pants sound pretty good, do they "breathe" at all?

I have carhart pants and Im sitting here thinking about how theyre the most uncomfortable piece of shit pants ever.

They shrink and expand like they were meant to. Feels like a torture device in the morning. They don't breathe at all and they're just too stiff. I have to wear a pair for about 3 days before they re-break in every time.

They're very sturdy though.

I think Levis stopped making them around the same time the shoe market got rid of loose shoes.
