but also events where vancouver was supposed to host now people could be hesitant
i doubt this will stop UFC from coming back again
but i know that there is a bid for wrestlemania in 2013

dont know of any other big events

me i thought it was fucked up i was so baked i didnt even know that a riot was going on even though i myself and people obviously were joking around about riots happening
the only reason i found out was cause my phone rang and the only way i can see the call display is on the TV
i turned it on CBC was showing it i was like

CTV though had the best footage they had the guy walking down the street reporting

i had a laugh when they were right next to a burning BMW and this guy runs up the hood and onto the roof and falls in the fire and had to jump off

Its not even a big deal. They lost, people were pissed. They smashed some shit and now its getting cleaned up. Riots after winning/losing a championship game aren't anything new (or even that rare), I wish people would stop acting like they were.

Montreal had a riot after they won.

When the Leafs win that city will burn to the ground.

The team is blaming bandwagon fans for the riot. But, what kind of bandwagon fan has a Trevor Linden jersey with the logo from 20 years ago? I saw a ton of those in the pictures. Unless it was just one guy moving really fast to get in all the shots.

The mentality of rioting was there before the game started, once that mentality spreads through a mob, it will infect people who otherwise would have been less eager...Sure there were a few townies who acted less than respectable, but the seeds of the "fire to riot" were ignited by tourists/bandwagon fans especially those who were eager to riot beforehand...
