like in the amazon, riding your boat along the river to all the little communities doling out medicine and giving people psychedelic experiences and stuff. or maybe in mexico as one of the mushroom shaman like maria sabana.
not one of those fake ass shaman either, i heard about those guys. im talking a real ass legit shaman who knows his shit and has knowledge thats been passed down through generations and shit.

The boat and psyhcedelics would be cool.. I think I got an idea of what your talkin' about.. The free spirit aspect of roaming place to place would be neat. Not so sure about shaman part. I think island hopping in a nice houseboat would be sweet. Like going to different places and partying up with them or swapping work for homemade booze or a hog

would you really trust some random guy on a boat, all hopped up on shrooms and who knows what else to heal you when you have a genuine ailment? like lets say a broken leg or burst appendix.

Wasn't it Karl Pilkington who remarked that the Amazon must be a shit place, since there are things in there that would rather live in his knob, than the river.
That cracked me up. Shaman? Been there, done that, shadow priest ftw.

those are called doctors and they suck. they get kickbacks for prescriptions and are more worried about treating symptoms and keeping that paycheck comin in than actually healing anything.
not all doctors mind you. just the opiate shaman ones.

I definitely think it would be awesome to be a shaman. I used to dream of getting to a point in life where I could be an expert in using different psychedelics and meditation and spiritual study.
I find myself going back in that direction these days, maybe one day I'll get into it a little.

Yea, being a Shaman would be cool until some "I KNOW I'm ready, man!!" hippies found you and pestered you to take them on the spirit trail.
And smelly hippies can smell each other, like ants and pheromones. So, many more hippies would find you. Pretty soon you got tents outside of your hut, and some assholes SUV ran over your fire pit that you were about to roast some bones over. For soup. And then some nomad hippy that sniffed these hippies out offers you a Capri Sun for a $1 because he's just trying to make it to Shakedown Street, and you're like, 'Mutha fucka I'm a Shaman. WTF do I want a Capri Sun-Coastal Cooler flavour for?! But, I think it would be cool to know one.
