"the beat" on currenttv
Anyone seen any of this show? Its about cops in downtown eastside vancouver where they're very tolerant of hard drugs. Its kind of changed my opinions of decrininalization. The place looks awful. There's people constantly shooting up and smoking rock on the streets. Mad addicts attacking old people for their welfare checks and people getting kidnapped and tortured over drug debts.

I haven't seen the show. Is it on ondemand?
Sounds pretty interesting to me. I like cop shows. I call it doing preventative research.

Did they talk about how over doses on intravenous drugs are down 35% because of harm reduction programmes like the In-Site Safe Injection clinic?
Also... if the TV shows it.... its probably true.
