Camera Suggestions...
I'm in need of a camera. Budget is tight.
Looking for digital for full view as well as tight close ups. Any suggestions? Brass

I have a Canon 110 IS. 10x optical zoom, full Manual, aperture priority and shutter speed priority. It runs on AAs, Lithium batteries are a must and last quite a long time before you need to change them. Macro and normal auto focus, and manual focus. Good built in white balance, lots of good features from a cheap point and shoot.
Cons: High ISO will make the shots fuzzy or noisy. No viewfinder. Slow flash recharge. Larger than most point and shoots, not by a lot, but if you're looking for something to slip in your ass pocket to take to a party it would be too big. For $200 it's a nice camera for the money. It's good in auto but better in manual. I've been abusing mine for a few years and with so many features and relative inexpense it gets tossed in the bag everywhere I go.

i got a rebel t3i this week and it makes my old (actually great) camera feel like a cheap toy. my old camera was a canon s5is (i think the newest version is sx20 or something), and it has a sweet lens for a cheaper camera and took brilliant pictures.
i recommend something in the superzoom category if the budget is tight, or looking for an old dslr. the most important thing on a camera is the lens, so if you can't swap the lens make sure you get a good one. megapixels don't really matter that much. also if your budget is even tighter, olympus makes a cheap point-and-shoot that is drop-proof and waterproof. they are pretty genius for someone who isn't totally serious about pictures.
