Bad Teacher

I saw this movie last night. As best I can tell it's a documentary about the teaching profession.

Anybody else see it?

at this point in time, i can't stand cameron diaz. there was a time i liked her (something about mary, charlie's angels) but now, bleh. it was hard to watch her on the daily show the other day, in fact, i wasn't actively watching, i could mostly hear it...and that was enough.

so, have not seen it, pretty positive i won't.

She kinda freaks me out. If you watch "The Mask" she actually has curves, and is really hot. But somewhere along the line, she turned into that skinny boy in HS who was doing everything he could to put on weight, but to no avail.

I haven't watched a new movie in like 6 years, I can't say I'll be seeing this one.

I haven't gone to see a new movie in years, and I wouldn't have seen this one If I hadn't been given free movie tickets for opening a new account at my bank.

The only two shows that were starting when we arrived were Transformers and Bad Teacher, so it won by default.

Cameron Diaz plays a Skanky Milf teacher who shows movies all the time, smokes weed in her parked car, mandate is callous to the feelings on the children. At this stage in her life, she I perfect for the role.

While I don't agree with the reviewers conclusions, there is a pretty good review of the film in Slate:

My thoughts exactly. She was painfully unfunny and ditzy on TDS. And her new movie looks so bad. The trailer makes me cringe everytime she says, "MORONS" and then throws a ball at a kids crotch. Hysterical, what a fresh new comedy.

She can't act. She's not funny. And she's not remotely hot. Her body is average at best and her face is far below minimum requirements.

how about this new movie coming out with Mila Kunis and the backstreet boy... Same exact movie that came out last year with with Natalty Portman and Ashton Doucher. I mean, literally the same movie.

If you work in education, I guess you could relate to the movie more. You may recognize familiar aspects of co-workers in the characters, exaggerated as they are.

Still, Acording to some studies, about 20% of teachers smoke weed regularly:

In grade 11, I smoked a joint with my sociology teacher every day at first break (right after his class). He was a cool teacher. He likes jam bands and acid in his spare time.

He even tried to get permission to take his class to Burning Man but it got shot down because the insurance wouldn't cover it because it starts before school does (or at least that was their official reason).
