He said now that he has come out the other side, he could realize how "stupid" his behavior was, but he added, "I don't regret any of it because it put me on the path I'm on now."

I cannot remember the last time i played a round when not stoned either

i think its just more evidence of how widespread and common place it is...

and how utterly brain fuckingly absurd we have the legal classifications we do.

anybody who has seen a single fucking documentary on the subject, or for that matter, read a single fucking sentence on the history of mj prohibition is just shaking their head at how stupid and literally directly counter productive to the goals we have as a society and the goals those who started the madness supposedly were trying to pursue...

ive obviously read and watched a lot on the subject, not to mention lived it, but that documentary "the business of getting high" is really a fucking like religious experience.... you keep seeing in stark black and white how everything the mj laws do - even to effect the goals that the people who made it illegal had.... that it just does the exact opposite.

crime is worse because its easier for gangs and crime organizations and lone crack heads to grow weed than it is for them to keep robbing homes and cars and people.... and tax revenue is lost instead of filling the coffers of society with more money to pay for rehabilitation and treatment for drug abuse....cops waste time chasing kids who are taking less harmful substances than their idiot friends who get shitfaced on alcohol and go get in fights and car wrecks.... meanwhile an entire generation has grown up having no respect whatsoever for "society" and "rules" because they see this as a prime example of how its actually necessary to ignore society if you want to follow what actually makes sense upon rational examination.... sigh ..... even cops say its fucking stupid.... even obama says its stupid.... but still, we keep walking around afraid to tell the emperor he WEARS NO FUCKING CLOTHES!

why is obama not afraid of being a proponent of gay marriage ? of attacking the fatcats? of ramping up class warfare? of throwing israel under the bus? of making buddies with radical islamists? but when it comes to weed...which 45-46% of the country wants legal already...hes just soooooo afraid to touch THAT but none of those other things. IT would win him the support of probably 95% of democrats and a healthy slice of libertarian republicans.... how is this a lose situation for him?

its kinda like the wars.... obama is just trying to get thru his presidency without making waves at this point.... but then when it comes to class warfare for some reason he doesnt have any qualm about that issue .... i guess its the community organizer in him- but in his scrappy chicago days didnt he have plenty of people in his "community" who told him first hand about how stupid the countries drug policy is? Yea. because hes reducing penalties for crack.... but not mj.

Because it would make him unpopular with the other 55% who want to keep it illegal. Also, elections are won and lost by scaring old people, and nothing scares MOST old people more than marijuana.

Sad but true.

I took him saying that as him going to "the max" with it smoking multiple times a day. For a professional athlete it IS a little ridiculous to be intoxicated while playing for your job. He didn't seem to be ashamed or condemning smoking by any means.

To me he just said he smoked pot, probably a little too often, but it helped lead him to the spot he is today regardless and he's happy. He didn't really put much politics in it other than his personal experience, which is awesome.

And this sheds a good light on pot?

To be fair, I can't make it through a round of golf without getting high either. That's the only way to play that game.
