Isn't obvious to everyone by now that governments operate only in the interest of self perpetuation?
It's like we're so astounded by it, we just have to keep showing more evidence of it, or continuously deny it. Either way it seems the common man is stuck in a constant state of "OMG, LOOK!!!" or "OMG, DON'T LOOK!"

i didnt read the OPs post BUT i was just reading some article the other day about how the ATF and other gov agencies sell guns to the cartels as to track the guns and somehow make some kind of case against the cartels out of it. They were selling AK47s and everything ... yet another WTF tactic...
Now they think it's backfiring cause a couple cops got killed with those guns. They didnt seem to care about all the mexican citizens getting caught in the crossfire with those guns tho...

profit, ive been telling people about the us opium trade since right after 9/11...seems odd that a few issues before that day in high times, a small article about the taliban reducing opium production by 90% ran in that magazine, and various other news outlets...but at that time, nobody knew who the taliban were unless they really paid attention to the middle east, and not many people did, because we hadn't had our "new pearl harbor"...hence why we took the taliban out of power for the most part...the cia/ bush family cant import heroin if there is no opium...
bravo for the post, ive been wanting the zetas to be exposed for a while now, violent bastards... |

I was just reading something about how the middle east produced more opium in 2008 than they ever have previously. probably that trend has continued as well.

Nobody remebers we put the Taliban in power to control opium production.
But they nearly stopped it all together, now we just couldn't have that...so now they are the enemy, and production has reached "biblical, if you will" proportions. ![]() How old are the opium wars ? anyone ? |

just a little history on drugs...fyi sort of thing
First Opium War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia By 1817, the British hit upon counter-trading in a narcotic, Indian opium, as a way to both reduce the trade deficit and finally gain profit from the formerly money-losing Indian Colony. The Qing Administration originally tolerated the importation of opium because it created an indirect tax on Chinese subjects, while allowing the British to double tea exports from China to England which profited the monopoly for tea exports of the Qing imperial treasury & its agents.[10] Opium was produced in traditionally cotton-growing regions of India under British East India Company monopoly (Bengal) and in the Princely states (Malwa) outside the company's control. Both areas had been hard hit by the introduction of factory produced cotton cloth, which used cotton grown in Egypt. The opium was sold on the condition that it be shipped by British traders to China. Opium as a medicinal ingredient was documented in texts as early as the Tang dynasty but its recreational use was limited and there were laws in place against its abuse. |

The Afghani's used to grow weed to make hash and damn fine weed it was too.
Nearly all the weed we smoke today has some ancestry tracing back to Afghanistan. US and Soviet interference since 1979 has pretty much destroyed the Afghani weed industry while fostering opium production.

Yes I believe the suspected (maybe known?) origins of the hemp plant was the Afghanistan region (Pakistan/India too).

I meant that most modern strains eg skunk, northern lights, big bud, G13, etc have some direct ancestry from Afghanistan since the sixties or seventies.
