the first video is a material I can make, and you can order in the US called (here) blastonite/tannerite they say it can only be triggered with a high velocity impact....however, a high quality flash powder is a high velocity detonator as well.

And it probably is now illegal through out America due to the Patriot Act.

you can order it and have it shipped, but you should also expect a visit by homeland security, atf and possibly the local police and fire marshal. It is now illegal to ship fuel (explosive) and oxidizers (explosive also) in the same shipment. Tannerite is just that , explosive fuel and oxidizer combined. And posting it to youtube is not too bright.
Unless you have a batf license. And most of the videos I've seen posted fail to mention that little detail.

most of the videos posted are in violation of terms of use , which is an "exemption" to info I just mentioned .

I have a can of that powder (forget the name) that coal miners used in their lamps...you mix it with water it creates a gas and it makes a flame. I wonder if i can make fireworks with it.

..and fpsrussia isn't russian he's american and his name is kyle something...awesome youtube channel.

I'm not going to argue about where he's from but what I've read is he's also known as FPSKyle but I don't know 100% if that's true.

And I don't post in the random thread usually it's threads like that I feel need locked by a moderator.

Yahooka has become stagnant because of threads like the "Random" thread.

Technically it becomes stagnant when people repost videos, like this. But whatevs. He's from Georgia (not the state), his shipping address is on his profile, if you feel like sending him an old Xbox to shoot.

the material in your can kish, is called carbide. Once wetterd it produces acetylene .

around high school age, I could buy carbide in a form that resembled small gravel.

Take a 5 gallon tar/paint bucket (ones that have tabs to bend over to seal are better)

poke a small fuse hole near the top.About 5 inches of safety fuse into the hole to about 1 inch inside. Piece of tape will keep it from falling out.

Place a paper cup with about an oz of carbide in the bottom of the bucket.

Place several cups also with water in the bottom.

place the lid on securely. shake the bucket a bit.

light the fuse...run like hell.

I've launched tar bucket lids several hundred feet this way.

acetylene is a very explosive gas.

I would even get 200 feet of waterproof fuse for free from Edmond Scientific when I order > $25.00 in chemicals/glassware.

used to be fun , being a kid.
