Summer!

Ingredients

6 egg yolks
6 tablespoons white sugar, divided
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Beat egg yolks, 4 tablespoons sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl until thick and creamy.
Pour cream into a saucepan and stir over low heat until it almost comes to boil. Remove the cream from heat immediately. Stir cream into the egg yolk mixture; beat until combined.
Pour cream mixture into the top of a double boiler. Stir over simmering water until mixture lightly coats the back of a spoon; approximately 3 minutes. Remove mixture from heat immediately and pour into a shallow heat-proof dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or overnight.
Preheat oven to broil.
In a small bowl combine remaining 2 tablespoons white sugar and brown sugar. Sift this mixture evenly over custard. Place dish under broiler until sugar melts, about 2 minutes. Watch carefully so as not to burn.
Remove from heat and allow to cool. Refrigerate until custard is set again.

THIS, MY FRIENDS, IS A DELICIOUS RECIPE COPY AND PASTED FROM WIKIPEDIA. I CHALLENGE YOU TO MAKE IT AND REPORT BACK AS TO HOW FUCKING AWESOME IT IS.

GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL

it would be smart to maybe put the name of the item as the title of the thread, but hey

My dad used to have a creme brulee torch. He never made creme brulee tho. He used it to light his cigars. It was the world's most badass lighter.

anyone who lights their cigars with a torch is a-okay in my books

the only thing i can think of that may one-up that is by setting fire to someone that has wronged you in the past and subsequently lighting your cigar from the flames of their flesh.

i thought good cigars should only bit lit by matches to avoid the butane getting into the whole cigar and ruining the flavor

I don't know about that. I always follow the Hellboy advice, and use a wooden match. I don't know about butane torches tho. Never bothered my dad, and he was something of a cigar expert. Still, I can't say, myself.

Common misunderstanding, butane is mostly tasteless

it's the zippos and other naptha lighters that affectionatos crinkle their noses at, those and paper matches
