im gonna get this fucking mouse- the epic saga

man oh man i have been having a mouse epic the past week or two.

about 2 weeks ago i was falling asleep when i thought i saw a mouse run by.

...didnt pay attention thought i was seeing things,

a few days later im at the computer, and i hear a noise of rusling, turn around and see the little bugger run right across the room.

since then its been a fucking day and night annoyance and a constant chase. he pops his head out at random intervals and pisses me the fuck off and i try to chase him occasionally following for a couple seconds before he dissapears again.

gone thru about 5 various traps, glue traps, regular ones, ones baited with special attractant, and with peanut buter...he eats the fucking peanut butter but the trap doesnt spring...wtf.

so the past couple days ive seen him near the fire place a lot. and i was going, hmmm... i wonder if thats his entry point...look around and see some gaps in the fireplace screen... so i taped it up all around the edges with strong duct tape and wait to see what happens.

well wouldnt YOU KNOW IT. i see him scurry by and shine a flashlight on his ass...watch him run around and i follow him as he goes up to the fireplace screen....watch him in the spotlight as he looks for the gap and then basically observe the mouse have the sickening realization that his ready escape, so easy for weeks, has been BLOCKED! he does a double take and im fucking watching this dude do that and then go like...FUCK...gotta run.

so i lose him again for a while, running and hiding...and then finally after a long ass time i notice him run into a side room that has only some storage in it.... shut the door behind him...stop up the crack underneath with heavy stuff so theres no way he can get out of there.

so now i know that ive covered the entry point, so no more can get in- and i know i have the one thats still in trapped in a room!

FUCK YEA

the epic struggle!

so now the question is how do i fucking get this motherfucker in that room without letting him run around over everything again?

You need to create a very simple mouse trap like this-

Amazon.com: Mice Cube 3-pk Humane Mouse Trap - The Only Mousetrap You'll Ever Use: Home & Garden

Leave the bait inside, and drill or poke holes in the door so he can get a good nose of the treat on the other side. Make sure the door will push up and let him in, and the box is long enough that the bait at the other end completely draws him in. Set the trap in the room and check it after a few hours. Peanut Butter is really good bait, and he'll sit and fill up on it.

Pack him up and drop him off in the bathroom at the police station or the courthouse on a busy morning. You could be the good citizen that spots the mouse and reports it.

Do it.

I like the range of opinions here. It goes from a humane trap with bait the mouse will enjoy eating to strong anticoagulants and arson.

good stuff.

I'd be willing to bet that mouse is no where near that room by now.

Take bucket of water and fill it half full of water and throw in a couple hand fulls of sunflower seeds. Shit, I think that's for chipmunks. Uhhh, try using cheese in the mouse traps. We use them all the time and they work quite well. I think mice like cheese.

Go in there with a box and close the door behind you. If there isn't that much stuff in the room you may just be able to scoop him up.

Or yea get a cat. I dont like mice at all, so I feel good having kitty around, she's vicious.
