Ladies, what about your childhood do you remember most?
Are there any experiences about being alittle girl that stand out most to you? Anything that you would say impacted you enough on who you are today?
Thanks kindly

Now that I think back, most of my childhood I spent trying keep up with my older brothers. I was the typical tom-boy, and looking at things over all I'd say that has been my whole path - tryin' to keep up with the boys.

REVERIE!
Good to see you, girl. Here are some of my most vivid little-girl memories: -Other little girls being bitchy to me, followed by the realization that some girls suck. -Wearing neon tights and silly dresses as soon as my parents started letting me dress myself (that wardrobe hasn't changed much over the years either). -Pretty much pissing my pants over any opportunity to pet a baby animal. -Falling in love with glitter, glue, beads, and craftiness in general. -Being a total contradiction when it came to the books I liked. I'd go straight from Babysitter's Club to Goosebumps without skipping a beat. -Rocking out in my room to Blondie, singing into my hairbrush and all that. -Slumber parties in which panties were frozen and secrets were shared. -Pretending to be an all-star cheerleader on the trampoline when my brothers weren't looking.

I'll speak on behalf of my younger sister... her best memories were of growing up with me, her wonderful older brother.

It's a typical slumber party prank. You get into the overnight bag of the first girl to fall asleep, take out her clean bra/panties for the next day, dip them in water, and stick them in the freezer. It probably sounds lame to the sophisticated adults who post here, but it's a major source of lulz for little girls.

Thanks for the welcome all
![]() Thanks a bunch for your response AL, I loved it way too much lol. Man, neon tights and Goosebumps were an influencial part in my childhood too. That simple stuff rocked the world. Hahaha I'm currently writing a book so this gives me some insight in how to kinda direct a certain chapter. Thanks so much All other responses appreciated

Thanks I appreciate any input
![]() I'm writing a non-fiction atm so it's a bit different, and certainly more contrived. I'd love to one day be able to write a narrative though.

Hey Reverie! Good to see you here!!!!
My sister had a lot of rough years that I didn't know that much about once I left the house, suffering longer than I through our parents crap divorce. While I was at a reconciliation workshop last year I called my Sister to say 'sorry' for not supporting/being with her more during and after my parents divorce. She was 12 and I was 16. We are really close and I know that my presence in her life has been more like a parent than a brother a lot of the time... So I was surprised, in this conversation, that she'd engaged in inflicting pain on herself physically some how... And that for a time that was a coping strategy for her.... HOWEVER.... for her a turning point in that, and in what came in her life was learning to paint and starting to keep long journals of her personal thoughts and expressive stories. It's a time in her childhood that no doubt influenced her and I suppose you could say, 'she remembers the most' There is also a photo of us and our deceased grandfather from when I was about 8-9 and she 4 years younger, that we both REALLY remember and each have up in our homes. She told me that she considers that one of her first memories. That day we were all out in the autumn sun, early one morning, gather hay by hand on my grandfather small farm... She didn't do much other than hold down the hay in the wagon. I only mention that because its something we both REALLY vividly recall. Hope this helps a little bit. Good luck!

My sister was put on her first diet by my mom at age 10, I believe. I think that pretty much sums up what it was like being the girl in our family.
