Talking Basic human characteristics.

Greed, selfishness, anger/hatred/violence

Look around you. Everyday you see the destruction caused by these traits.

From your weed dealer selling .8's of a gram to the major corporations raping not only our world but our society as well just so they get paid. Greed runs rampant within our society.

If you have half a brain youd know of the atrosities and genocides occuring around the world to this day, and if you have half a heart that much sadden you deeply. Hatred. Greed.

The common life is built around gaining money so you can be comfortable later on in life. before you die. .. lol
That is the goal of the common man today. He has no REAL goals. He works to gain money and power so he can become more and more comfortable and have more things.

Im sure you must see this every day. Shit that we all just instinctively know is Wrong, yet you accept it as normal.

Greed, selfishness, anger/hatred/violence

These things are too often dismissed as some inescapable evolutionary trait.

While i do believe their concepts and feelings are present, i hate the fact that the levels displayed of these traits are accepted as well.

Yes it is normal for humans to fight. There is no set normal limit though!

These feelings and traits are easily diminished through the studies of love and compassion. You learn to recognize it and react accordingly. Soon enough they seem non-existent and do not surface nearly as much

Love. Compassion. Gratitude.

These traits combat their negative counterparts beautifully. Their power is GREATLY underestimated.

You see the power those negative traits have not only on yourself but on life in general. You see it everyday.

Why not give the good ones a shot? The power you acquire from them is tremendous and far better. The effects of indulging these traits cant even be compared to the effects of and indulgence in hatred or greed.

You should look into this "love" thing and give it a go.

Master the good AND bad traits and you suddenly grow a third eyeball in the middle of your forehead and gain godlike abilities.

some might say the "love peace" movement was just another form of brainwashing.

but will later.

I feel ya.

I truely believe that there is such a thing as right and wrong, good and bad, and it's up to us to make the choice.

well shit roach if you arent gonna reply again, at least be a little more descriptive than "i disagree"...

Id love to hear how you disagree, cause i cant see how love, compassion, and gratitude would not counter-act hatred, greed, and selfishness....
?

You always try your best not to harm the ones you love and keep them from suffering.
Compassion teaches us to love all as our brother or mother. therefor that loving harm free relationship is not limited to just a few people.
Gratitude teaches us to be thankful what others have done for us, recognize their sacrifice, and wish to return the favor.

Greed becomes a want for ALL not just for yourself.
Hatred becomes nothing but a tool to increase your ability to love.
selfishness gets replaced by selflessness.

The bad traits become aids to the good after giving power to those good characteristics. Once the process begins it basically flows on its own.

As for the peace and love movement being a brainwashing tactic... the only thing that that has to do with this thread is that the movement you speak of was the closest we have come to giving the Good Side or ourselves a shot.
That being said it still wasnt enough obviously as it was more about a style and drugs than a true wish for good.

so yeah roach come back dont worry we'll leave god out of this
