this is pennsylvania dutch for "post like a new member would usually be allowed to post"

unless he's willing to drop the 30 or 30 restriction due to delays, technical difficulties...etc.

what?

they can come to the 21st century if they want me to play nice.

Even if they only made it to the late 19th century that would be acceptable.

First off, you're a horrible troll..... but I'd still like to say a few things.

Why 'fuck the Amish' because I said something that was influenced by the place where I grew up?

In parts of PA some of the 'Dutch' sayings and how things are delivered have intermingled with the 'English' folk.... that is all.... just like happens lots of other places where there are multiple language groups.

I'm sure you understand this living in Ottawa where I heard as much French as English.

It was nothing to do with their life style not being 'current'.....

If you actually knew something about them you'd know they do use some practices and technology from 19th, 20th and current century.

In my time living amongst and working along side the Amish-Mennonite folks I had a lot of good conversations and I never felt judged, nor had it inferred that I wasn't living the right kind of life.

So why 'fuck the Amish' because of how you perceive them when you don't really seem to know much about them?

I was just watching this show where Amish people were using cell phones and computers and everything else. These two Amish kids were even admitting they check thier phone often for text messages. Some of them are more with it than you are deadhead.

My guess is there is a LOT of things that would surprise folks about the Amish and what they do and don't allow.

i check out a lot of mennonites at goodwill. good people. always have exact change, never give me any problems.

they buy baby clothes that are the same as everyone else, i know that much. the rest of the family appears to be in homemade clothing.

good people. quiet. it's funny to see their kids looking through the cd's. not funny, haha, but the culture difference. I have a lot of respect for people who can live like that in this day and age.
