ducks have had to learn an incredible amount of information in a very short period of time. Being a bird in urbanized earth is not an easy thing. Expecting animals to evolve at rate even similar to our own is retarded. Natural evolution takes a long time for changes to be made. They are already adapting at full speed and we are losing many species in the process. It is fucking brutal how we are making the earth so uninhabitable for any kind of animal life but our own...  f this thread all bummin me out n shit.

There is a duck pond in town here right next to a very busy street and it always brings a tear to my eye when they be crossin the road and holdin up traffic but everyone in their cars is just smiling and we always stop. nobody cares if they're late for that!

^he's probably from brazil or thailand or some place like that. i've noticed certain countries don't have much compassion for animals. they either want to eat them or inflict pain on them for entertainment.

I laughed and my wife was mortified.
 She said, "What if it was our daughter that fell through?" and I said, "I wouldn't walk across a storm grate with my daughter behind me. What if it was a fish with it's babies and the babies got sucked away by a current?" She started to smile and said, "Well fish aren't real-" I said, "No more questions." and we both busted up laughing. And I was right. AND my wife had couldn't say shit. This is a TKA post too.

The reason there was 5 ducklings is because 3 or 4 of them aren't expected to survive to sexual maturity. Unnatural hole in the ground or not, it is still nature doing its thing.
