Do you have a Best Friend?

Someone that you can 100% completely trust for anything in any situation. Literally your go-to person should anything of consequence or victory come up - this person is the one you contact first. If you do, who are they? How did you come to know them? What makes your bond so tight?

my best friend is in doing 4 years in prison right now so no not really. and even though he was/is my best friend I am a total loner and don't trust any of my friends completely. the reason we are such good friends is simple..same temperament, similar interests and opinions. met at summer school when we were 13. just started hanging out and we been like brothers ever since. Loyalty plays a huge part in it. If someone messed with me or my family I know I can count on him, vice versa.

probably the only non family that I would take/give a bullet for.

Yes to all of the above. Childhood bonds as to the reason.

Im really close with my girlfriend. Close with my family especially my sister and father. My dad is the closest thing to a best friend ive ever had.

really dont have any other good friends besides family... :/

It sucks. i had a group of friends and i guess a best friend as a kid, but through girls and drugs i totally alienated myself from that group during highschool. First pussy that came my way and i was gone. Real lame move :/

Since then i haven't had any good friends besides girlfriends, and girlfriends dont really count and is totally not the same even though it can be at times.

When i think about not having a connection like that with someone it makes me sad, but honestly i dont mind being alone most of the time. In fact i prefer it over being with people. I can only think of MAYBE one person i would like to have as a GOOD friend. Everyone else id rather hang out by myself lol.

That being said id love to meet someone someday that i can share such a strong connection with like that. Best friends is like one of the best perks of being alive. I hope i dont miss out on it. I got the Lovers and Family perks down already, is it too much to ask for Best Friends as well?

i think it gets harder as you go along in life. if you sever good childhood friendships, then you have to work so much harder to connect with someone you meet later in life, and bond with them mutually where you are able to legitimately trust each other with no doubts.

best friend status is a hard achievement in life.

I still hang out with the same group of friends, it's funny, every one of us would have said dude was our best friend, but we kind of dissolved after.....Some of us keep in touch with one another more than others, but for me, I only keep up with a couple people these days.

Friendship is definitely important, and I regret neglecting the ones I did during my junkie-days. I make it a point to periodically call the friends I do maintain contact with even if I don't have anything to talk about. We all have moved on in our lives, and outside of work, we don't get a lot of time to just talk to people. So the calls really mean a lot.

I think of it like an investment. I don't have to do a lot to make another person feel really good, and chances are if I make a habit of it, they're going to call me and cheer me up when I'm frustrated or lonely and can't connect with any of the motherfucking idiots around me.

And then there's you guys. I've grown up with yahooka. You guys are friends as much as any-I keep up with you, try to keep in touch with people i care about, shit. Might be pathetic, but that's never dissuaded me in the past.

Yeah. no best friends now, but many many good friends. I don't think I'll do the best friend thing again. But who can plan something like that?

No. I have a few close friends but to me having a best friend is more of a girly thing. I have me group of mates and they're the lads, I wouldnt class any of them as more of a friend than the others.

Aye there's nothing I really regret besides the way I treated a lot of great friends during my bout with drug abuse. I feel like there's not really a way to amend it besides maintaining a reverence to those that seem to have forgiven me.

But yeah I have two best friends and a lot of other really great ones I can count on for a lot. I'm a pretty blessed guy in that aspect.

I have a bestfriend of 23 years... through the past few years, we have moved apart a little bit. We both have serious girlfriends and lives that take up a lot of our time. but there is a bond which i have never seen. I have an amazing bond with my girlfriend, amazing amazing right now she is my best friend. I also have a brother who im very very close to. and I kind of feel bad listing him last, because out of my bf and gf i can talk to him about anything.... anything! I think i am quite blessed!

i don't have many friends these days most have moved away and the few that remain i wouldn't classify as a best friend. bloods thicker than water anyhow so i pretty much hang out with family.

Maybe. But I don't know.

She is like the only person I don't consider expendable.

I can do without most people, but I would probably be visibly upset if she wasn't around anymore.

Is that what we are talking about?
