What classes you taking this semester?

First day of class today for the start of my third year in college.

This semester im taking:

Organic Chem 1
Ecology
preCalc 2
and some easy astronomy class

Nervous as shit about Organic chemistry. Not as worried about the material as i am of the workload.

Since i walked on campus ive been hearing god awful things about the professor and class lol. I know that it is to be expected with an organic chem class but damn its making me scared.

My ecology prof just shuddered and walked away saying "ill understand if you arent feeling right" when i told him who i had for organic 10 mins ago. lol.

Got a three hour lab starting in like a half hour lol ughhhh

So yeah. What classes you taking this semester?
Feel free to discuss anything school or vagina related.

In vagina related news, the sex is still amazing.

My Wife and I celebrated our 9th year together this weekend.
Labour day weekend is when we met each other, while I was hitching a ride to a mutual friends house.

No concerted or focused studies at the moment, just reading as usual.

im taking human phsyiology, some biology seminar class for seniors, the 3rd of 3 phsyics classes that i need, and my last GE class "history of technology in music"

should be an easier quarter than my last few.

as far as ochem goes, you really just have to study and use any resources you may have. if your teacher sucks you will have to teach yourself obviously. ochem is hard, but its definitely something that is learnable. once you know some of the "rules" youll start to understand why things react or dont react etc.

At least he's learning something practically useful out of college instead of some philosophy/english/history/liberal arts major.

hmm thats kinda an interesting thing to think about komp.

so do any kids about to graduate or recently graduated know what the job market is like for engineers and tech degrees?

from what ive heard anecdotally its perhaps somewhat better than other industries, but a lot of people i know still had to move to find jobs as engineers and ish.

is that job market depressed too? or not at all? or like somewhat?

engineers take more courses but some of them are only seminars or once a week type things. a full course load is a full course load

Science is the way to go mang.

I couldnt imagine going to school and spending tens of thousands on anything else.

I personally dont have too much of a career goal. I just really like science, particularly chemistry, So im just gonna study it and hope shit turns out well. I think it will.

I Love the material and would do many many jobs involving chem so i think ill be ok.

BTW first day of classes is over. All my classes seem really cool.
Im actually really excited for Organic chem now even though my teacher is a little scary.

I heard she plays favorites a bit and i totally got into that category already today but responding that i am chem major and not just another Med/health major just doing organic cause it is required.

Gotta wake up at 7 tomorrow and go to this state park 20 miles away for ecology lab lol.

AND SO IT BEGINS
