I think the suddenly-famous teen sensations are about more than music, or even celebrity. I think what the industry is selling kids is something else: the idea that anyone, talented or otherwise, can become instantly famous, including them. In this day of 10,000 talent shows, I think that's a wish-fulfillment fantasy that can make a ton of money.

her first cd (1400 copies) was totally financed by her familly and was sold mostly thru ebay.

Her appearence on American and British talent shows was naturally to get exposure. She started singing at age 8, and by age 10 was singing professionally.

Now at 11, she has a cd, and it's selling very well.

I don't see any problem with promoting someone who is truely gifted.

i was watching this with my wife and it gave me goosebumps how amazing she is.

i dont give a fuck about anything except for her amazing voice. she could 115 years old, fat asian girl, her voice is what matters.
this one isn't about image like most other acts (and other talent shows), its about talent. period.

this year AGT semifinals were really good. Some really talented people got the exposure they needed.

yes it seems at least AGT has stepped it up a notch.

I liked Team I Luminate too, but you tube videos of them are crap.
