not sure jester,
anyone who posts to you tube may also remove them....most likely because the second video was of the actual spot where the plane hit within 5 minutes of it hitting...before the injured were even attended to ...that would be my guess. let's see if this update embed code works (most of msn's don't) <embed name="msnbc2d32e7" src="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32545640" width="420" height="245" FlashVars="launch=44 558174&width=420 &height=245" allowscriptaccess="a lways" allowFullScreen="tru e" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod _Version=ShockwaveFl ash"></embed> I really wish they would learn how to write code :(

They give rednecks aeroplanes now? They manage to crash when they're racing cars in a circle for fucks sake

I blame will smith and the movie independence day. clearly it sent the wrong message to redneck pilots everywhere.

So? Those people knew the risks. If I'm flying that plane, it has an ejection seat. If the plane fails, whatever happens on the ground isn't my problem. I'm getting the fuck out.

that is why you are a horrible person and will never be in a professional position where your actions affect the lives of others. sociopath for the loss, little guy.

So, it is sociopathic to not want to kill myself to save people that bought tickets using their own free will so they could sit in an area that is inherently dangerous to watch me fly a plane?
please do elaborate. also, people like that often gain positions of power where their decisions affect other people. its called real life. |

because it's your responsibility as the one hurling that piece of metal through the air to do everything you can until the last possible moment to protect the people in the crowd-who are often made of up of colleagues and family members and close family members of colleagues. and to most people, putting yourself in danger, even to the point of your own death, is worth saving the life of even one loved one. much less a crowd.
even if you had no emotional attatchment to the crowd, it's your responsibility as the pilot. whether flying over a populated area, or a warzone-nobody deserves to have a plane crashed into them. But if you were a pilot, don't kid yourself dh-airshows would be a waste of your time. you'd clearly be killing people. am i wrong? |

I wouldn't eject at the first sign of something wrong. I'd wait until the craft was lost either way. If the plane isn't under my control, there is nothing I can do to help, so why should I have to commit suicide because my plane doesn't want to listen?
I've been flying since I was 10 with my grandfather. I have like 600 hours at the controls of a Cessna 182. I want my own some day. The only way I would ever join a military is if I got to be a fighter pilot. So you are kind of right. I wouldn't go far enough into it to be of use at an airshow. Just for pleasure and transport. |

while this argument is ridiculous, but for arguments sake - you have the personality to never -- never fucking ever -- be in a position where you will have control over the lives of others. you are a psychopath. at least that's the way you portray yourself here on yahooka. you have some major issues, broski. that is to say, if your personality is at all the way you present yourself here on yahooka.
you are damaged goods, son.

perhaps. you're being pretty rude though. whatever, i'm pretty rude sometimes. i do wonder if dh is a psychopath at times, or just doesn't relate to people, which i can relate to. I've felt like an alien in most social situations my whole life and that kind of 'wtf' unrelatability i kind of sense in the stuff he posts. not that there aren't some very successful psychopaths out there, jon ronson has a great book about psychopaths out, i highly recommend it.
Anyway, it's good to hear your revamped statement dh. that you would do everything in your power to get it under control before ejecting-that's cool. I see military fighters bail out when it's clearly out of their control/last possible second over populated areas-the f117 crash comes to mind-so i don't think it's necessarily bad at all-just the way it was initially phrased caused a bit of a furor. I also don't think there's any reason a good pilot needs to die in a crash that was already in progress/unsalvageable. that's pretty ridiculous. i watch birds and bats with admiration all the time. flying my own plane would be probably the closest i'll ever have the balls to get to flying like a bird(no jet wings for me)-that's cool that you've been able to grow up around flying. I would killkillkill to be able to fly a p-51, yet it's one of those dreams rather similar to flying like a bird-very very unrealistic for me. Power to anyone who can approximate such a sensation.
