Why not? Where's the incentive to leave?

I could argue that where the soviets went wrong was spending too high a proportion of their gdp on arms at the same time their economy was stultified by corruption and nepotism and a disproportionate chunk of the populace was incarcerated for bogus reasons.

- oh wait, I'm sure I heard that recently about some other nation .

All perfectly true and valid, and I couldn't agree more, particularly in applying those idioms to the U.S. What baffles me is that as we get worse and worse on those points, nobody bothers to take note that their worsening correlates directly with our movement toward a more socialist and less free capitalist society. Our progressive in chief was braggin just yesterday about having assassinated by drone some dumbass with too big a mouth on the other side of the fuckin' world. And this guy's a liberal??? How fucked are we????

Why is it that capitalism gets to take all of the blame while socialism is being touted as the answer to all problems? Why is it so hard for the zealots to stop and consider for a moment that their basic premise is fatally flawed, and that the socialist path is fraught with even worse consequences than a corrupted capitalist regime? Dismantle the Fed and the Military Industrial Complex and you're half way to real freedom.

Suffice it to say that the Soviets were just ALL fucking wrong. People just wanna be able to take care of themselves and their families and be left the fuck alone. We'd all be a whole lot fuckin' happier just tendin' our gardens and playin' with the kids if we didn't have to face every day bein' afraid that somebody was gonna kill us or steal our shit or throw us in fuckin' jail. There aren't any "isms" that possess the potential for that to happen other than capitalism I'm afraid, so now we just need to chop the rulers' thrones down and get back to basics. We don't work well in an ordered environment unless it's one that we create for ourselves. The trouble starts when we start tryin' to order other peoples' shit.

I kind of have to agree.... chances are none of us are EVER going to have money like that.
I think we should all be vested in each others' best interests...

So if you want to protect the rights to riches, shouldn't 'they' be also concerned about ours?

Busted! Maxima mea culpa,...Fender you ARE an incredibly insightful lad, and I at my noobiest thought that I might fool ya.
What was the give away, and which did it identify first for ya, my noobness or the seething stench of my incredible ill-gotten wealth?
Or were you merely suggesting that I was one of the nouveau riche?

I see a very bright future for you working for the gubmint. Maybe TSA perhaps? You'll be a fuckin' rock star.

I suppose I still have a soft spot for ya 'cuz FZ had a couple Tele's and a Strat.

Switchin' gears back to REAL evil, here's a little slice o' heaven that I think everyone should taste.

The Fed Audit - Newsroom: Bernie Sanders - U.S. Senator for Vermont

BTW Fender...I was being facetious (just in case ya didn't pick up on it...again), I was "on the bus" and never really got off of it.

Ask yer parents, they might be able to s'plain it to ya.

Sorry to hear that ya don't care about me bro'. How 'bout if I was poor?

Also sad to hear that you feel you've already hit the wall as far as your maximum potential in life, but please don't suggest that everyone here is adrift in your boat.
